fuel numbers on unpainted 265 with 225 four strokes

I have an '02 265 with F225's that was bought in '03 as a leftover. No issues with the scuppers as they seem to be at the correct height. It is a very tight fit with the F225's and it seems they should've done something to redesign the fold down transom latch area as I have some marks on my...

    2 micron Racors with bowls

If the 2 micron Racor starts to clog over time what will that do to your already higher than normal pressure? I bought a set of these this spring and decided not to run them after talking to a couple mechanics. Andy at SIM sold one to my buddy but after I checked around and told him what I...

    seafarer 228g vs voyager

I don't like the cockpit set-up for fishing on the Voyager. If you're a hardcore fisherman but the Seafarer BUT the Voyager is a bigger boat if you want to run offshore. Not sure how twin 115's would be on that boat. Seems minimal to me.

    Flushmounting a 12" MFD on a 265

Finally picked it up today and ran it over to my slip. The install came out great despite a 2 week delay due to the installer aggravating his hernia and having surgery.

    Flushmounting a 12" MFD on a 265

The floor of the box only needed to be cut near the front so there wasn't as much matl removed as I thought there would be. The installer was almost finished with it on Saturday and I will get a few pics when I launch this w/e. I like the panel he made and it should look sharp once it's installed.

Do they make a Cover for Anchor chain ??

I just saw some white double plastic coated galvanized chain today at Defender in Waterford CT. Even if you wear thru the plastic in spots it won't rust. Best coated chain I've seen. Bill

    Flushmounting a 12" MFD on a 265

Nice job on your Islander! The C120 fits on the face of my box with similar edge distance. It looks big but that's what MFD's are all about. The cables are causing the clearance issue with the floor of the box. As it turns out the intsaller has done quite a few flushmounts of 8" and 10"...

    Flushmounting a 12" MFD on a 265

I met with the installer last night and we went over the issues. To mount the C120 directly in front of the wheel where I think most of us would want it, a portion of the floor of the electronics box has to be removed. And you have to remove the ceiling panel in the cabin to make sure there are...

    Need some help picking powerwinch

I would go with the 315 or the 712. Bigger is better when it comes to winches. I've owned 3 Powerwinchs over the years. All of them were 912's. I have no experince with the new 215's and 315's but the 912's have been great. I burned one clutch out and it was fixed under warranty. Never had an...

    Flushmounting a 12" MFD on a 265

I've seen a Furuno 10" display flushmounted in the helm box. I hope we can make this work as I'm not sure if I can exchange the C120 for a smaller unit. Raymarine just came out with the widescreen C90 which might be an option to put inside the box but I'd much rather have the 12" display.

Do they make a Cover for Anchor chain ??

Get a piece of white plastic coated chain, that will solve the problem. Boaters World used to carry it. I'm sure others do as well. Bill

    Flushmounting a 12" MFD on a 265

There was an '04 265 for sale last year at Hobby Lobby Marine in Tom's River NJ that had a C120 flushmounted in the electronics box at the helm. I spoke to the guys there about the boat but never got down there to look at it as the '02 we ended up buying popped up a few weeks later. My '02...
