Holy $#!+....my boat is the cover of the new Anchorline!

I love it! Can't imagine not having it now. My old boat was like trying to turn an old diesel truck with no power steering. DES is like driving luxury sedan. So smooth, precise, and effortless.

outdoor carpet as poor man's seadeck?

Why not give it a try? But it looks like it would hold water and get real moldy and gross underneath. Plus, it would probably be very lose and wrinkly. More of a trip hazard than anything.

    Question about manual flush toilet

    1. Having to pry open that little deck portal every time to access the seacock. Do I leave the seacock open all the time or close it every time at the end of the day. 2. Trying to explain to guests how to flip the switch on the toilet to pump water in then flip it back to flush then back to...

    Question about manual flush toilet

So is it not a concern to pull salt water through the system from the hull to the bowl to the holding tank without being able to rinse everything with fresh water?

    Question about manual flush toilet

Yes, there is a marina about 3 miles from my dock that does pump out. My main concern is that the manual flush system is a bit complicated. I have concerns about a guest messing it up. Trying to keep things as simple as possible.

    Question about manual flush toilet

My thought on using gallon jugs was simply to eliminate half of the process. No need to open the seacock, flip the switch, pump to fill the bowl. I barely know how to use this thing....can't imagine having to explain the process to a guest. Figured it would be easier to keep everything in the...

    Question about manual flush toilet

I could have sworn that during my orientation the guy said to operate the toilet you have to open the seacock under the deck so it can pull water in from outside. But I could be wrong....maybe it does pull from the fresh water tank. Surprisingly, there is almost no information about it on the...

    Question about manual flush toilet

I have never had a toilet on my boat before and people have told me "DO NOT EVER USE IT". I don't plan to use it except maybe in emergency #1s only. Anyway. To keep it simple, instead of having to pry open the hatch on the deck and opening the seacock to be able to pull salt water into the...

    Charging a battery

Unfortunately, it's a real problem getting to the batteries on the Freedom. They really tuck them in behind a small panel on the transom. I hope I never have to pull one out. I think what drained the battery was the stereo. I never turn it off, just turn the battery off.

    Charging a battery

I have no idea. It's a brand new Grady. Is that something Grady does from the factory?

    Charging a battery

If I start the engine with #2 and keep the switch on #2 will it charge #1?

    Charging a battery

So I did a dumb thing and forgot to turn off the battery last week and now battery #1 is dead. Battery #2 is fine and starts the engine no problem. How do I charge battery #1 back up? Should I leave the battery switch on #2 when running, 1+2, or switch it back over to #1 once I get the engine...

What rear anchor for the swim platform locker

M My 3lb Cooper holds the stern with no problem here in Pensacola with a sandy bottom in all conditions. I have about 6' of chain on it as well. Throw it in, give it a tug and it is set. Doesn't budge at all. It does fit in the 235 Freedom swim platform locker.
