When did you get your first Grady-White?

Still dive for the lobsters but not nearly as much as we did. I envy your 80 degrees. Lucky to hit low 60's in June and 70 in August. And that's on the surface! It helps to have a warm water shower on the transom. We go somewhere in the Caribbean every year and were diving in St. Lucia last...

options to replacing side bolsters on a 223 tournament.

SeaDek You don't need to get SeaDek bolsters unless you want to. Never priced them. A strip of SeaDek material any width or color you want. Enough to just cover the holes or the width of the old bolsters.

    456 Canyon is enormous

Wow! Was it a spec boat or a sold boat on display. At 1.2 mil, that's a lot for a dealer to tie up in inventory. Although I bet it would sell fairly quick to someone with deep pockets.

When did you get your first Grady-White?

I've been an avid scuba diver since 1981. Dove with friends a lot from shore until one of them bought a boat. It opened up a whole new experience for us. Ended up with my own, an old wooden POS, and we had all had a grand life until adulthood caught up to us. The boats faded away as...

    Need Help With Bimini Enclosure

This would help. The red end is for pulling on the button. Grady used to sell something similar that also had a hook to pull zippers.

    Fuel Stabilizers? Any preference guys?

I use Biobor for my diesel genny. It stabilizes and has additives to prevent sludge and microbes from growing.

    Fuel Stabilizers? Any preference guys?

Both. At the fuel dock, I look like a damn mad scientist mixing chemicals in his lab! The hysterical laugh is for price of fuel though! Startron for fuel stabilizing and Ring Free for carbon.

    New Enclosure

Interested in hearing what you ordered. Mine is on it's last legs. I keep needle and thread on the boat and it just looks it's age. Canvas - Stamoid ? Color? Strataglass - Isinglass? Question about the glass.Which one is the harder, flatter material? Thanks

    Marlin 30 generator winterization

It's much easier to winterize your systems if you remove the deck panel.I know it's kind of a PIA but it'll save you some skin and blood and aggravation. It takes just a few minutes to unscrew and cut the silicone. The PIA part is removing the old silicone to re-bed it, which I do in the spring...

Lessons learned for a new Tournament 192 owner

Congrats! Sounds like you had the exact opposite experience than someone else recently who purchased a Grady here on this board. Goes to prove that even a Rolls Royce will decay over time if not maintained properly. Good luck with her. ENJOY!!!

    Fogging a 2012 Yamaha F350

^^^THIS! Easy to do both at the same time. Run the engine to fog it opening up the thermostat. A "Run Bag" makes life easier. Shut it down and, with a small portable electric pump, pump 2 gallons of antifreeze into the flushing port. As an added precaution, leave the engines down. To the OP -...

Considering purchasing a Marlin 300 (although I had looked at an Express 330)

I considered the 33 and really like the cabin layout but I am also a fan of the walk-around. I fish from the bow often and have rod holders on my bow rails. It's nice to be able to sit up there and relax while fishing with my favorite beverage. The cabin will be fine for just the 2 of you on the...

    Fuel alarm

After owning a 208 for 8 years, I had a 258 for 7 years and now a Marlin for the last 4 years. I have never heard a low fuel level alarm on the Journey or the Marlin. That being said, I believe Seasick must be correct as I've had these tanks low enough to have the levels flash. I must be...

    Yamaha F250 and Thruster Zincs

Good Info. Same here. Thruster every year. And it NEEDS it! Not convinced it a submerged thing though. The anode on my engine bracket is always submerged and it goes several years... Think you're on track with the difference in metallurgy.

    Fuel alarm

If I'm remembering correctly, when I was running a 99 208 with a Yam 200, I would get a low tank level alarm if I let it get that low. Sometimes it would alarm depending on the attitude of the boat. The fuel gauge would flash first.
