I learned the hard way that transducers have a life span. My 2005 died last year. Best to just replace it while you’re upgrading. Worth it in the long run.

235 is great, but the market is hot. If you find one used then jump on it. Like Sean said above look for 225s as well.

Anyone know dimensions of the rear transducer flats on a Marlin? Mine is a 2005 and looking to upgrade over the winter. Have a big through hull already installed in the forward bilge that I don’t really want to pull out. It died so looking for a different spot.

What did you put in their place?

The step? I tried an aftermarket one from Bobo marine. Kind of worked but got loose. Let me know if you find anything.

Vacuflush, 2005 Marlin. Any idea what access panel to pull to see the holding tank? Good point, there may not even be a filter. I assumed but may be incorrect.

Really have to check with marinas and other folks in your area. Many variables and local differences.

Anyone know if there is a filter on the head vent on the Marlin? And if so how to find it? Had mine a while now and figure it could use changing. I can find the vent itself on the hull.

For the hatch if it’s a Bomar like on my Marlin the riser arms are available aftermarket. There’s many different models so you have to be sure you get what you need. I replaced mine earlier this year.

Will it tuck in all the way with the trim all he way down?

Aft fish box for me on my 300. I’ll use the livewell for ice and fish when ground fishing.

Shower sump? Should be easy to get to. My. Marlin has a Rule A Matic. If yours is the same the base is generally interchangeable and can stay. Just put a new float switch on.

I wouldn’t think removable davits would be enough for a RIB or useful enough for an inflatable bottom dinghy. I have a slat bottom roll up dinghy that fits in a bag, but it’s still bulky. I can store it on my bow walk around deflated in the bag. Rarely use it though it it could take a small...
