Did similar on Father's Day, I hit submerged rock (found out later on chart) Nicked up my prop and scratched an already chipped skeg. Luckily I had the motor raised up some and was going slow. Was coming back from a shallow beach area.
Racor does make a filter assembly with metal bowls that have a drain plug at the bottom if you wanted to check for water in them. That's just in case you didn't want ones with clear bowls.
Dennis, I know this is an older thread, but would you say its ok to use the white reinforced sanitation hose you describe above for the helm drain to thru hull? Its 1" hose on the overnighter, pic attached, Thanks
Yea that looks super clean, you have washdown pump on port side? Also you happen to have Attwood part# on those deck drains? I might have to do the same eventually, Thanks
