I too had a little oil in the splashwell of my Marlin. It was coming from the hydraulic steering hoses. Check those. Easy to replace.

I had the same thing last year. I messed around with replacing seals, but it still leaked. I contacted Seastar, and they were pretty helpful. I ended up replacing the helm and, it was a pretty easy job. Best of luck

Try Bona wood floor cleaner. If you want to coat it with something durable, use Bona Traffic HD. This stuff is made for wood floors, and is the best on the market. I used it on a teak sloe on a friends boat a couple years ago, and it looks new still. Go their website for video instructions.

I used a product called Barkeepers friend. Works well, and its about 3 bucks at home depot

My boat has 2013 4 stroke 250's on it. The thru hulls are right at waterline when tanks are full. Looks like I'll have to do some cutting to replace. I think Ill wait til this winter though. Many thanks for the replies.

I just got a 1998 marlin. I have some water coming in. It looks like it may be thru the scuppers which are at the waterline, or just below when standing in the stern. How can I change these out? My arms are not 4' long!!!

I have it narrowed to a couple of Marlins. One is a 98 with 2012 Yamaha 250's. I cant seem to find much in the way of guys having problems with these. Does anyone have any input on these engines? Also what can I expect for fuel burn? Thanks

I am looking to move up to a 30' Grady Marlin. I have looked at a few which all seem in good shape. Aside from the exhaust corrosion issues on the 225's, is there anything I need to be looking for as far as problems? Also about how many hours can I expect out of the 4 stroke 225's or 250's? Thanks
