Had the same problem with my Gulfstream. There is filter at the freshwater pump end the would clog up with gunk. Cleaned the filter a couple of times and ran bleach through the system (about a cup) and filled the tank with the hose and pretty high pressure. It took about 2-3 times doing this...

I do use it occasionally. Just fill it till it overflows. End of season run the sink and shower head till empty. I use to dump a gallon of RV antifreeze into at the end of the season, but you end up having to flush the anti freeze out which takes 2-3 fills. Now just make it's empty in Nov.

You're right. It's hard to tell from the photo. Forget the speakers, or spotlight. What about relocating the horn. Mine is in that position now (Gulfstream). Don't know where your's is located. How big are the holes? Could you fill them with gel coat repair.

Thank goodness the weather guys (and gals) were wrong. The rain stayed south of me so I got half the hull waxed/polished. Looks GREAT. Still hope to finish Thurs.

I have a 2003 GS with a 225. You won't get 40 MPH for sure, but for me it suits me fine. The only time I feel it's under powered is with a full crew (10 bodies, Children and adults) although it will get up on plane. Just takes a bit to get there. Go big or go home! Always use the larger size if it will fit. In other words, if the existing mounting holes in the rocket launcher will take a 3/8" bolt, then use that.

Toothpick-they do make vinyl covers. Either Grady or Pompanette. They are definitely more expensive than the socks!! Mine were purchased by the previous owner so I don't know what the cost is.

Thanks for the responses. After looking at the sending units and their location I've decided against removing them. The tanks and hoses all look in very good condition. Very dry from what I could see. My only thought on the above comments about water or bad gas is, wouldn't that get stirred up...

Just my 2 cents but why wouldn't you replace the hoses anyway if you went through the money and effort to replace the tank. Did you say the hoses are 15 years old? No brainer in my opinion. I posted earlier I'm planning on inspecting the main tank myself, just afraid of what I might find.

I'm planning on pulling the sending unit off the top of the main tank to check for sediment. It ran out of gas once as I pulled away from the dock. Was not able to restart. It's a 90+ gallon tank but it only took 75 when I filled it. Anything I should look for or be careful with? Thanks.
