    anchor/anger management

I mounted a piece of Starboard on the pulpit to "absorb" the chain rubbing on it. Boat Outfitters Seafoam (color) matches pretty well. Did this about three years ago and it has held up very well.

    Explorer repower 246g

Running a 25" shaft - proper for the boat. Economy is actually better than with the 225 as I don't have to run it as hard - although it's nice to have the power when I want it. Average day of fishing - some running hard, some trolling and some cruising burns about 25 gallons of fuel for a 60 -...

    Explorer repower 246g

I have the same boat (1992). In 2016 I repowered with a SHO VMAX 250 Yamaha (4.2 litre). Awesome motor and something I should have done much earlier. Started with a 225 2 stroke and then to a 225 four stroke. Big block motor has the power needed to get the boat up and running quickly with...

    24 Offshore Express repower

Put a Yamaha SHO 250(4.2 liter) on my 24 Explorer about 4 years ago. Awesome motor, wish I had done it years ago. 44-46 MPH and enough power to handle anything I need it to. Single on a bracket. Economy is about the same as my F225 (except when WOT).

transducer mounting on a 96 gulfstream with single engine on a bracket.

I mounted my transducer (24 Explorer) just to the right side of the drain plug fitting (almost centerline) and it has never worked better. My motor is also on a bracket at tit seems that the motor is far enough back to not be an issue.

    Grady white 24 1992 Explorer

A livewell was an option on this boat. Unless the original owner added/purchased this system, it doesn't have one.

    repower

I recently repowered a 24 Explorer with a Yamaha 250 SHO motor. Yes it was expensive but totally worth it. I would think that a 200 would be underpowered.

    Toe Rail Replacement

I have used Boat Outfitters' Seafoam starboard and it is a very close match for my 92 24 Explorer.

    2001 248 Voyager w/Yamaha 225 saltwater series.I I

I have a '92 24 Explorer that I upgraded to a 250 VMAX a couple of years ago. Awesome upgrade, wish I had done it much sooner.

Explorer 24 looking live we’ll drain part

I have the same model and the concave drains are near impossible to find. The only ones I have found have different hose sizes. I ended up using the "mushroom" top drains and sponging out the excess.

Trailer bunks position for a Grady-White

Mike, Measured and the bunks are 53" apart center to center. I have pics if you can PM me a number to text them to. I got these dimensions from GW when I had the trailer built. The tops of the bunks are angled and they rest just inside of the stringers. Chris

Sorry, crazy weekend and I didn't get a chance to get out to the boat. I'll get them tomorrow. PM me a number to text the photos to. Chris

Trailer bunks position for a Grady-White

I have a '92 Explorer. At work today but I can measure when I get home tomorrow. Just had a new trailer built a couple of years ago and researched this. Chris

How do my tanks look? Need some advice.

Replaced the tank in my '92 Explorer last year. Tank was replaced in '97 due to a "flaw" and last year had the same gas odor in the bilge. Top looked as good as yours. Bottom had several area of corrosion with some leaking. These tanks just lay on the bottom so there are plenty of areas for...

    Seat glides

OK, found the info. I got them from RST Marine in Daytona Beach. 386-562-0098. The Todd PN is 9994-144 and they are called Seat Gibbs. I paid $5.49 each for them. You will need two (2) for each seat. Chris

    Seat glides

I found a source in Florida for these. I bought six sets as they were hard to find. PM me and I will share the info. Chris

Good afternoon guys got a question (93 explorer)

I just did this on my '92 Explorer. Don't recall for sure but the large drains and scuppers were 1 1/2" and the small drains were 1" or 1 1/8". I got all my stuff from GEM Products in Florida. Good quality, good prices and fast service. Some of the hoses have the size printed on them, some of...

Few questions about the Explorer 24

I have the same boat ( '92 246G single). My auxiliary tank is located under the hatch between the helm seats. I installed it myself and it was pretty easy. Actually had the original tank "cut to fit (length)" as it had a factory flaw which required a replacement of the original tank. Lots...

    sea star fluid leak

Seastar makes a seal replacement kit for this. It is inexpensive and easy to do - hardest part is pulling the steering wheel. Did mine about 6 years ago ('92 Explorer) so I don't remember the part number or where I got it but they are fairly common. Chris
