I would get a set of 200 yamaha hpdi's and they would push that boat with ease. Great on gas use little oil and all your controls would fit and I bet you could get a great deal. But if your hell bent on going 4 stroke the yamaha it should be me thinks. :wink:

Welcome to the world of thru hull replacements. Now I hope you have either replaced the other thruhulls or your about to because they are all in the same shap as the one that broke.

And also dont forget to wear some protection on your hands and arms since the fiberglass will tear you to shreads. If you havent done your thru hulls yet best plan on it. Thats also just bunches of fun. :wink:

Think about it this way. A transome is made of wood,fiberglass and resin and is one solid mass. If you can wick water out of it in a stream for 30 sec straight you have a big problem on your hands. I really hope you got a great deal on this boat but with that much water in the transom it...

I know the feeling about working in that dark space. When I replaced the thruhull for the bait well overflow I could not reach the hullside. The only way to do it was send my 10 year old daughter "bless her" in and hold her by her legs. Working on the wash down pumps is also a pain in the butt...

I have an 89 Trohpy Pro and I have the large center live well between the helm seats. The lever under the seat is just a diverter valve to either wash down or livewell. I dont have a stern livewell though.

What I did was remove all the teak on the boat and did the teak cleaner thing and let it dry out. Then I used the Silkens matt finish 3 coats then 2 coats of gloss and that was 5 years ago. All the teak under the hardtop looks like I did it yesterday but the exposed teak needs to be touched up...

The only way you can adjust boost without throwing a rod is you have to manage the ecu outputs. Nobody does this that I know of as an outboard tuner. The old carbed stuff was easy but not anymore. Now on your mustang just bring it to a reputable tuner and he could increase your hp by 50 just...

Keep in mind the supercharger is not being used in a car when crusing along the highway. When your running a motor at 4000 rpm at load its running all the time and thats also alot of heat generated. I dont know what one is better but time will tell 8 years down the road.
