    1987 Grady White Trophy Pro

Plenty of power for the boat and she rides ok for a 25 due to weight and tab use. The bigger concern woulld be those motors are kinda heavy for that boat. I had to repower and stayed away from them just for that fact. I bet the scuppers will be underwater and with a full tanks of fuel water will...

    Suzuki versus Yamaha

Would you guy a car with a warranty only to have the dealer 500 miles away? Buy the motors you can get the best service on. Look around the marina, ask other guys with motors you want who they use for service and are they happy. IF you see alot of zukes on the backs then in your area thats what...

Four stroke for 1989 25' sailfish

I would love to see someone try and mount the new 350 yamaha and see how that would do. If it worked that would be a great and only have to take care of one unit. But not me I would be to chicken to attempt to try it to only see an epic fail.

Four stroke for 1989 25' sailfish

Most guys on this forum go with the 200 yamaha hpdi's and are very happy with the power. They run great, smoke very little only at cold start up and make the boat jump out of the water.

trickle down economics helps boat builders

Do any of these words mean anything to you? BLOW HARD BIG BLOW HARD TOOL NET PIMP Because the way you toot your own horn about yourself tells alot about you as a person. Just think about that because if you do it here I bet alot of people you deal with face to face think the same way...

canvas and windows on or off the boat for winter

Well try that up north and the ice will crush your hull. Not to mention the marinas will pull the boats for insurance reasons and damage you would do to the docks.

25 Trophy twin 150's GPS numbers:

40mph is a lofty goal to cruise with that boat all day unless you steal the gas. I took off the stripe last year also and had the new ones ready to go but said na I lke it better this way.

Gulf Stream ride versus Trophy Pro

Your right because at 40 mph I would be burning about 24gph and a big no thanks to that.

Gulf Stream ride versus Trophy Pro

I have an 89 trophy pro and its a 9,6 beam and heavy for a 25ft boat. In a head sea you need to use the tabs a bit but thats what they are for anyway. I dont have a problem at all with the ride or maybe I'm just use to it. :D

    1989 salifish pod limitation

If this is a new repower you are asking about then the largest HPDI Yamaha now makes is the 200 HP model. That would also be plenty of power for you.

Considering purchase of a 1988 Sailfish

Well if everthing checks out then that is a great deal. Have a mechanic check over the engines with complete compression test and get the reciept history on the unit if possible . You may have a great find on your hands but then again this may be what the boating market will demand at over $4...

Considering purchase of a 1988 Sailfish

I have an 89 Trophy Pro which has the same hull but without the little kitchen area and enclosed bathroom. Transom,Fuel tanks and lines, deck covers, bulkheads front and rear, electical, thru hulls, hard top for wield cracks. Get a good survey of the boat and if you can pull the deck covers...

    232 power one more time

Hey I love my 200hpdi's on my boat but if I had your boat I would go with the 150's for several reasons. Cost,resale,2 stroke oil. And my buddy has the same boat with 150's and it runs just fine.

    Fuel burn '88 sailfish

I have the same hull but lighter due to no kitchen area and bathroom stuff. I run twin 200 hpdi and at 3800 rmp Im at 24 knots and burning around 16.5 gph.

    Future of Boating & GW

And if we all listen to the news or read the paper or comb the net like I do myself its always bad news. You would think that these BIG news orgnizations would maybe once show some company doing well in the US. Its like they enjoy keeping good news from the public or maybe trying to spread fear...

    Future of Boating & GW

I didn't hear anyone on this board complain that they cound not make their credit card payment or that they are going into forclosure on their homes. I woiuld think that most of us on this board have more brains then that. And besides we have heard nothing yet about the price of oil...
