    Marlin Trailer

I realize it is not a Marlin, but I have a Roadking trailer for my Sailfish. Model RKAV 26-28TRB which is rated for 13000#. I opted for electric/hydraulic brakes on all six wheels in lieu of their normal braking system. Might not be the best money can buy, but it works.

    water where it shouldn't be

I know on my livewell there is a gap between the top of the livewell and the underside of the seat, you might want to check yours and if the gap is present use some 5200 to seal it tight.

    water where it shouldn't be

One other thing, the Jabsco indicator in the head is for the macerator/holding tank, you should have a separate manual for it.

    water where it shouldn't be

Jabsco indicator is telling you the holding tank is full and needs to be pumped out. You can turn off the indicator by pushing the button to the left of the flashing lights...should be square. To empty the tank at sea you need to close the head intake sea cock and open the head outlet sea cock...

    Sailfish Tackle Storage

Has anyone come up with a way to increase the tackle storage on a Sailfish 282? I am tired of having my tackle bags in the cockpit and helm area when fishing. There has got to be something I can do to keep the clutter to a minimum while fishing. Any ideas?

    New NC Dealer Named

Crocker's customer service has me spoiled. My first experience with their replacement has left me with an empty feeling inside and I know I am not alone. I hope you all in MHC fair better then those south of you.

    Name placement

Boat name and hailing port are on the transom of my 282. Boat is documented and in all the stops done by the USCG they have yet to comment on it even though the motors do a good job of covering them up.

    2003 Grady White Sailfish Purchase

I have a Road King RKAV 26-28 TRB3 with electric over hydraulic brakes on all six wheels for my 06 Sailfish. I upgraded the tires to load range "D" for added benefit. Boat tows great and is no problem to stop with the brake setup. Can't comment on anything regarding Nextrail quality as I have...

    DOCK BOXES

Dockboxes I was lucky, my slip just happened to have a monster of a dock box left by the previous renters. Definitely worth the investment. After having one I can't see going without one. Buckets, nets, grill, boogie boards, toys, brushes, hoses they are all in it. The bigger the better.

    High Water Alarm

Going to be installing a high water alarm in bilge of my Sailfish. 1) Which brand is preferred? Leaning toward a Water Witch. 2) Is one sensor enough or would a sensor near each bilge pump/compartment be more appropriate?

    282 Sailfish Power Options

282 power options 232, I have on 06 with 250's and I wouldn't have it any other way. At 4200 rpm's I am at 34mph burning 1.6-1.8 gph depending on load (curtains up). Prior to painting the bottom and with a light load I have seen 54 mph at 5900-6000rpms, with a clean bottom now I might see...

    What trailer for Release 283?

CJ, Unfortunately, they have tie downs. I am on my third set of calipers, fourth set of pads, second set of rotors and have less than 1000 miles on the trailer. It is the price I pay for living close to the ramp, usage cannot be calculated based on mileage.

    New Sailfish Owner

My 06 gets 1.7-1.8mpg at 4200rpms cruising at 34mph with full fuel and three people on board. With full fuel, 8 guys and 8 sets of golf clubs I could only muster 1.5 mpg. Top end with no bottom paint, full fuel, curtains up and two people was around 53-54mph.

    Crocker's Marine Closing?

Parts at Crocker's 40% off right now, cleaning supplies are at 60% off. Not much left, but a great opportunity to pick up GW parts.

    Crocker's Marine Closing?

Crocker's Marine Rumor is true, end of the month doors will be closed. Extremely sad day for this GW owner. I can only hope GW does their due diligence in the selection of their next dealer for our area. Crocker's is/was top shelf when it came to customer service. They have a lot of...
