    Caulking the floor

Another tip: You can lay some heavy mono (40-80lb) in the groove before you seal it. Remember what corner you have the end at and if you have to take it up, you just have to dig out the end and pull. It will slice the caulk.

Salt Spots on Window- tried everything

I don`t think this is etched. It looks like it washed with hard water and not dried and has water spots left or washed and the soap not rinsed enough and dried. Its a little blurry to look through but still fairly clear(not white or hazed). How can you tell if its etched? Untill last year...

How do I Flush (Freshwater) my 2001 FITCH?

You can unscrew the fitting that is your pisser and screw in the male end of a garden hose. That will backflush.

Need help with my Evinrude 150 FICHT RAM

There`s ALOT of things that could throw a CEL. You need to get the code stored and see what it was for. There are hard codes and soft codes. A hard code will put the motor in limp mode and give you 1500rpm max, soft codes, the lite will come on,then go out with no effect on the motor running...

    20' Overnighter Repower

I had a 77 204 ctr console. Originally it had an 83 200 evinrude (rated for 235) and single battery. No complaints except for the low, open back like yours. I repowered with a 01 200 rude with a 25 inch shaft and lift plates to raise the 5 inches. Just that alone and it sat 2 inches lower in the...

    need help

Are you getting the water in the bilge or the fishboxes? I had a 77 204 and all 3 boxes up front had drains which drained out the right front through hull. Its a 3 into 1 set-up. I used to get a LITTLE water in each box, but just enough to wet the bottom, not enough to need a pump.

    Remote Control Spotlight

I have a remote spot and 2 KC daylighters on hardtop that the previous owner installed. I can`t stand them and prefer to use a 1 million cp handheld spot. When my enclosure is up, I stick it out the partially unzipped smiley. I can scan 180 in ft of me in seconds.

    Tournament Heat Options

That 17-amps on the heater spec is at 120VAC. That is what your inverter would have to put out. In order to do that, with 12VDC as an input, the DC current from the batteries might be closer to 150amps. Brian[/quote Well that I did not know. Thanks for that info. I was gonna try to run...

    Tournament Heat Options

Not sure where you get your 17-amp draw from as noted above. A 1500-watt inverter is using 120-VAC as power, and that is what your inverter has to provide. As the inverter is less than 100% efficient in conversion, you have to provide even more than the calculated amperage. I don't...

    Tournament Heat Options

I`m working on heat also for an overniter. A friend of mine has a mr buddy heater that he loaned to me. He disabled the anti-tip shut-off so it will not shut down when rough. There are two picture hanger type holes in the back. I made a small strip of wood to attach to the back and velco on back...

Does trolling shorten the life of a 2 stroke enigne??

Trolling only hurts a 2-stroke if it is not properly jetted at idle, either too rich or too lean, or another problem causing either condition. On carbed motors the jets are not changeable so what you got is what you got. There is a narrow band where the motor is at its optimum burn at any given...
