After 10 years my float switch finally bit the dust. The same switch by Sure Bail is no longer available so I replaced it with the new version from the same company. My thinking was that the first lasted a long time, possibly indicating quality by the manufacturer and the new one had the same...
GMAN - I had them done on my 02 Marlin a year or so ago. I did it through my dealer's canvas guy and couldn't be happier with the product. Price was fair as well. PM me for more if desired.
I found my transfer swicth had loosened. When I turned toward shore it tightened enough to make connection, toward generator it loosened ( or vice versa I don't recall). Took switch apart and retightened screw and all is well.
Into a headsea, trim up, tabs down, pull back on the throttle a bit. Work the throttle/wheel if necessary if the comiing wave is out of sequence, comes from a different angle, or is a bit larger than the usual set.
