I have a slow cruise and a fast cruise. 4200 rpms = ~29mph/25knots at 18gph and 4800 rpms = ~ 32mph/28knots at 22gph, fully loaded, canvas on, good conditions, years of bottom paint etc. WOT = 5800rpms, half fuel, no gear, no canvas, ~40mph/34knots maybe a little more depending on...

winter storage I take them off the boat and clean them and then store in my attic. The clear vinyl gets cleaned with Plexus and then canvas gets hung on clothes hangers rather than rolled. Then I cry until spring.

Buy it and don't look back. Great boat for family, cruising and fishing. Rides well and drifts well, plenty of room but not too big that you need a crew to sail.

The lens snaps on and off but it is a little tricky. Thin tool helps pry it off. Be gentle. On my Marlin there are two white bulbs. One of the bulbs has a red translucent rubber covering that is very difficult to replace- no one has one and the original is starting to deteriorate.

I changed mine over to red LED and added a string of red LEDs under my gunwale. Together they provide just enough light to fish at night without losing your night vision.

I have had pretty good success with Spray Nine. The guy who made my canvas said if the stains were bad or if they were mildew that it is okay to use Soft Scrub. Make sure you rinse really well. When using either of these I make sure I do not get the cleaner on the clear vinyl.

Jake - you should be able to purchase a Racor that will screw onto your existing filter head. The only issue you may have is that the filter and its bowl are longer than the Yamaha and you may not have enough room to mount it without moving the head...
