what h.p.2 repower seafarer outboard on bracket

MY F250XCA (4.2 liter) and the F300XCA both weigh in at 560 lbs, about 47 lbs lighter than the prior generation 3.3 liter F200 - F250s. The F250XCA pushes my Freedom 225 (same hull as Seafarer) to 50 mph. You can see the performance numbers for the new 228 here...

    Freedom 225 fuel economy

Thanks everyone. We took the boat out a few days ago and followed your suggestions. There were 2 adults on board, the bimini top was up, and we started with about 80 gallons of fuel. Winds were between 10 and 15 mph from the south. We cruised south for about 15 miles at 3500 rpm into a 2...

    First Grady Freedom 255

Congratulations on a beautiful boat. Be sure to post pics when you get it. We just bought our Freedom 225 and love it. I plan to post pics when the iPhone 5 comes out hopefully in October.

    Freedom 225 dimensions/cover

Hi everyone, I am considering moving my Freedom 225 to a different indoor rack storage facility. They charge by the boat length and also boat height. So, if I put the bimini top down and the boat height from the bottom of the engine skeg to windshield is less than 8 feet, the price is quite a...

    225 Freedom

We just picked up our boat last Thursday, then cruised the Indian River (ICW) from Vero Beach to Indian Harbour Beach where she now sits in rack storage. That run was about 40 miles, which gave me a chance to to feel her out. Our last Grady was a 208 Adventure which we sold back in 1997, due...

    Kicker size for 228??

I have a Tohatsu 9.8 4-stroke on my Catalina 250 wing keel sailboat. It has the 25" shaft, a large diameter 4 bladed 5.5" pitch prop, an alternator, and electric start. At 92.6 lbs., it is by far the lightest 9.8 4-stroke available. I think it would make a fine kicker.

    225 Freedom

We just bought a new (to us) 2012 Freedom 225. For 2012, the ladder is now on the starboard side of the Armstrong bracket and the port side is pre-drilled with 4 holes which the dealer told us is for mounting a kicker bracket if desired. The holes are capped for those of us that do not need a...

    Freedom 225 fuel economy

We recently bought a 2012 Freedom 225 with a Yamaha F250XCA. We have the 15.5X17 Yamaha SWSII SDS prop which originally came with the boat. The best fuel economy I have gotten so far, is between 3.2 and 3.3 mpg at 3500 rpm which runs the boat between 26 and 27 mph GPS. The fuel tank was full...
