I purchased my boat cover from Boatcoversdirect.com 2 years ago. I think it may be a Carver. Not custom at all but fit nicely and does it's job to protect the boat. Easy to take off and put on by myself. Don't have snow problems in California, sorry can't comment on that.

Check your remote tank's wiring harness for corrosion. Since that harness lives in the bilge it's susceptible to corrosion. I have since cut the harness and hardwired everything with waterproof butt connectors and heat shrink.

I second that. Just purchased a cover from Shannon last month for my 265. Fit's great and saved myself a lot of money. I highly suggest going with them before having a custom cover made.

It's super easy to remove the tanks in the 265. Just pull up the 25+ screws and caulk holding the back deck down. The AUX tank slides out first and the MAIN second. Make sure you have a few helpings hands with you. If you plan on doing it yourself it should only cost you a few hundred bucks...
