    Question for Yamaha owners

This is very good advice... with only 25hrs don't touch it... let the dealer handle it. If you knew exactly what was wrong and it was a simple fix then maybe DIY... otherwise be safe and let them do it. Sorry... just read your last response. Your friend is doing the right thing.

    Manual head operation for dummies

I'm guessing at this but: 1) make sure you opened the right seacock(sounds like you did but double check) and 2) give it some priming help by adding water to the toilet... maybe that will get it going. Other than that you may need to replace some seals. I'm sure some other guys here will have...

Hull and Deck Cleaner Advice / Simple Green

I second Or-Pine and I also use ajax and a scrub brush on the deck to get rid of the fish scales/ blood etc.

Aft berth question on 2004 Sailfish

Interesting that your cabin drain wouldn't flow into the sump pump reservoir. Good question for GW customer service.

    Marina choice

Bob hit the nail on the head. I am in the same boat... I live in NY... 70mi from my marina in Connecticut. In the beginning I worried but now I am very comfortable leaving my boat for weeks and some times much longer. I do put extra lines on my boat for peace of mind and not having to worry...

    Refrigerant Gasses in 2004 Marlin

you should see the air intake for it right behind your cabin stairs. I think access to it is through the refrig opening. Cummins will know.

Dealership error in Bottom Paint application ?

ditto the comments above. I like my water line 2" above the water and parallel to it from bow to stern... dealer did it the first time(which I had to have them redo... and which they gave me zero hassel over) and it has taken me the past two seasons to get the water line the way I want it. The...

    2004 Sailfish Questoni

Bob, on my 2003 Sailfish the sump outlet was the most foreward port side outlet. I just looked at the downloaded manual from the GW site and it looks like they T'ed or Y'ed it into the galley sink outlet. They also show a loop in that line... probably for preventing the galley sink from emptying...

    2004 Sailfish Questoni

On the 2004 Sailfish your sump pump with a float switch sits in a plastic box under the center of the midberth... just lift up the panel and you will see it. Your A/C(if you have one) condensation runoff and head shower empties into that box. Don't forget to winterize that area in the fall...

    life raft

Scarlett Knight... mine is not in a "hard" case... more of a rugged yellow nylon case... with the vacuum pack the contents feal hard. Another nice thing about Winslow is supposedly they will replace your raft for free if you are ever rescued by the Coast Guard and they have to scuttle your...

    life raft

Scarlet, I think I have the same raft as you... mine is the Winslow Ultra Light 6 man valise... 40 some #'s, double tube, floor etc. w/canopy. It is perfect on my Marlin... when I head offshore I slide it rigtht under the companion seat. The first one I bought (6 man valise from L.R.S.E.)...

How does your 30' and up Grady White Ride ?

Mega said it all... I agree. I've been pounded in my boat but at the same time the boat was handling the seas the way I expected. If I am getting pounded too much I just slow down, change my angle and/or play with the trim. BUT... I have always felt safe and in control. On the other side I do a...

Is there any way to test for stability, ride , etc

Bob's right and a lot of good dealers run demo days periodically. There are a couple up here in the northeast offering them right now(brrrr). Only way to know is to take it out... and look for other than calm conditions when you go.

    Buying a Grady

Most boaters I know use Ring Free in their 4 strokes. It's cheap insurance. 1 oz to 10 gals of fuel. Best of luck with your new boat. The canyons will be well within your reach. :D

    AC SHOW

Re: seafarer 226 Myj314... I feel the same way you do. That's a common theme among Grady customers... Grady does not tolerate dealers who do not follow their view of how to treat customers. My dealer is fantastic and I know the one across the LI Sound from me has a great reputation as well...

F250 Warranty Extension Question?? Yes or No?

Thanks for the input Bob... I will look into the problems with the 4 strokes. wrob, right now I have less than 200hrs on the boat... that's 2.5 seasons... bought the boat in August 2005. Up here my boating starts around 5/1 and ends around 10/15... less than 6 mos. I doubt I would ever...

    Robalo vs. Grady White

My argument wasn't against the 25' Sailfish.... or trying to compare it to the 282. I was only giving my opinon on why Grady changed model numbers and also clear up the running length of the boat and that the pulpit isn't included. My slip mate had a 25' Grady and there were things I liked...

    Robalo vs. Grady White

Not quite Brian... the 282 has 28' of running hull length... yes that includes the euro transom but how you configure your deck on top of the hull does not change the hull length. (example: having a notched transom(like the 265) vs a euro transom) Plus a lot of people like the euro transoms as a...
