    Sticker Removal

Acetone, W-D 40 , Goo-Gone, These will all work. Stay away from Laquer thinner as it leaves a residue. Also the best way to remove the stickers is with a razor blade and patience. Trust me I know :D

    SAILFISH

Thanks Capt. Bill and BobP, I was fairly sure of that but not 100% . I like the 92 and 93 models due to the transom design and the SeaV2 hull. The hunt is ON!!! :D

    SAILFISH

Now that my OFFSHORE is sold the hunt begins for my next Grady. I'm looking at SAILFISH models in the post 92 era . I am curious as to whether all 93 models were "SPORTBRIDGES", and if not what was the Diff. in that and a "standard" SAILFISH. :?:

replacing live well pump on 209 escape

I doubt that you could change it thru the inspection port. With that being said I wouldn't seal up the access hatch with 5200. I would use a good grade of silicone . You might have to go back in there one day and sealing the hatch with 5200 would make getting it up again a nightmare. Also...

what should I pay to bottom paint and detail

I really don't know the answer to your question. But if I had to venture a guess I'd say between 3500.00 and 5000.00 That's alot of work on alot of boat. :D A detail on my 24 was about 600.00 a few years ago . I chose to do it myself. My son says "nobody can please you Dad" . ( I am pretty...

Cabin Bulkheads Use Wood or Starboard?

Please tell exactly how you came to this conclusion. When I did my offshore The starboard WAS the LONG term plan. I haven't had the need to reseal anything and ZERO structural problems after nine years . Also my father owned a custom cabinet shop for 25 or so years and I worked there for several...

Cabin Bulkheads Use Wood or Starboard?

Starboard I did my 87 Offshore bulkhead and door with 3/4" seafoam colored STARBOARD. I don't know if this is the so called "RIGHT WAY" or not but I CAN tell you this : since I did this in 2000 I've had ZERO issues and I've not had to do any sealing, caulking , "KEEPING an EYE" on it or...

need advice bending cell cast acrylic

Any access to a "break"? Maybe you could use a "break" and some towels or something soft to protect it from scratching . I've "broke" some 1/4" lexan for race cars like that . I know that 1/2" is bound to be harder to bend but maybe its doable. :D They bend it somehow. Probably in a hydraulic...

    Leaking Steering Fluid (2000 Sailfish)

I've only changed it one time three or four tears ago. When I bought them they were stupid cheap like .50 cents apiece . I bought four I believe and just put them in the wheel. My thought was it was cheaper to have some on hand than it would be to have to go find them again. :D

    Leaking Steering Fluid (2000 Sailfish)

You're right GROG it is a quad ring. I keep a few in the center section of the wheel itself. I always know where they are then.

    Leaking Steering Fluid (2000 Sailfish)

If its a SEASTAR helm, its more than likely the seering shaft seal . Pull the wheel off and there should be three screws around the shaft, remove them to expose the rubber seal . Pick it out and replace. you should be able to find them through any seastar dealer . I beleive I found mine at...
