i was reading about someone with a bad transom on their grady on "the hull truth".it got me thinking to do some preventive maintenance along those lines on my boat. do any of you remove,reseal,& reinstall items mounted on your transom ? ( naturally if something seems loose,or damaged etc)...

there is a company that does the periodic repack/inspections of lfe rafts near me. i went to pick their brains when i was in the market. the guy there told me a switlik was the best bang for my buck. better quality than the winslow or revere. i got a 4 man in the valise.

2001 twin 200 hpdi's most efficient ( sweet spot ) usually around 4200-4500 rpms burning approx 1.5 gal/mile around 18 gal/hour. top end speed 41 mph on flat seas. 3 blade props. 5400 rpm wot. this is if my memory serves me right, (boat is still on blocks right now.) looking to unwrap...

since weve been talking about our 265's here lately, has anybody installed rod holders in the fold down transom ? if so what did you do. also think i may remove the fridge & install a cabinet. i would probably get more use out of it.

i had the problem of my 2001 listing real hard while running also. (almost scary, feels like the boat is gonna flip! ) how i run it is; _ start with tabs all the way up & motors level. _ get up on plane then trim the motors up until i find the sweet spot _ only use the tabs to level...
