I have an '06 with twin Yami four strokes on her. At cruise which is 4000 rpm at 30 mph I burn anywhere from 17 to 19 gph depending on conditions and loadout. I believe last mfg year was 2008 for the sailfish which the replacement being the Chesapeak. Hope this helps

Good to hear you had a good trip I took a similar trip last year actually from Somers Point to Manasquan in 3 to 5's just had to take it a little slow but was a nice ride along the coast.

Jellyfish, I wrote tight 3 to 5's for the simple fact that it stated a 3 to 5 chop. It didnt state 3 to 5 foot swells. I dont think too many boats would have any problems in swells. A chop with the frequency I think would be a problem for many. Not for the 282 sailfish but many other boats...

I have a 2006 282 with twin 250 four strokes. Just got the boat this year and have only put 70 hours on it thus far with a total of 180 hours on them. Boat runs great is fast and efficient and havent had any issues with the motors at all.

Roarque, That price seems too high for that boat. Keep looking around you should be able to find the same boat in the 80-90k range.

Guys thank you for all of the replies. I used the bleach tchnique :lol: . And it worked I out in a cup and a half for the tank flushed it 2x and no more smell. Again thanks for everything.

Guys, Maybe you can help me out. I have a 06 Sailfish. The water in the freshwater tank smells like sulphur especially the hot water. I drained the tank and refilled it 3x and each time treated it with Aquabon water treatment which states stops foul odors, algae, etc. from forming...
