Yep, that's the one. Be sure to get power trim/tilt. I put my T8 on a solid welded aluminum bracket. Sounds like you're going for salmon. I also put a ring around my prop. (To keep out fishing lines.) Tied fuel line in right off my Racor head.

On my 209, I just tied into the extra outlet on the Racor head like you mentioned. I have read that there may be a problem with that. I just Googled 'kicker motor fuel' and got some good hits. Guess I'll read some more.

I also have a 1993 209. My speakers came with the boat. They are not mounted on the center console. They are cut into the sides across from the console.

I would use the boat awhile before going to leaning post. If you're going to troll the Great Lakes, I find that having the seats allows me to rotate around to watch poles for strikes while sitting. I troll alone alot and use the other seat for a place to set stuff. (GW Escape 209 ) Depends on...

I put on a Yamaha T8 High thrust power tilt and trim for salmon trolling. It'll get me home unless I get caught in 4-5' on Lake Huron.

I'm wondering if the pump came apart due to frozen water in pump head. Accident was in December no? I cut out caulk bead in my 1993 Escape 209 rear floor panel so I can access bilge.

Great Lakes makes a quality top. Are you thinking aluminum or stainless? Believe it or not, I bought a friend's top from his Whaler and it swapped right over to my GW Escape 209 with minor adjustments.

I don't think you need to cut another hole in well. Are you thinking of converting to hydraulic steering in future? Dress up best you can, but I wouldn't cut another hole.(Grady didnt)

I think my 1993 Escape has 2 corrugated covers. Steering cover is smaller. I converted my steering to Sea Star hydraulic steering. Can't check now, boat is in Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Are you using the sliced covers with zipstrips?

I would email Grady Customer service with your hull#. They'll have tons of info on that boat. Probably have original owner's manuals for you.

What year? Length? Trim tabs? I've got the Escape 209. Am assuming 204 is about 20'. The 209 could handle the loads/people you mentioned, but seem a bit crowded for my taste. Year is important due to starting year of SeaV2 hull which is drying than previous years.

I suggest you search 'Escape 209 repower' here. I got alot of help here a few years ago with my 1993 209. Ended up going 200HPDI. Great match. What year 209 are you looking at?
