I am in the process of replacing the fuel tank in my '84 Offshore. Does anyone know the orig manufacturer they used in '84? The lable says Florida Marine Tanks Inc..........is this the original tank? Thanks in advance.............

Engine......got a reman'd longblock and installed new manifolds/risers/starter, etc.....

That's why I like my I/O....I was able to replace it in my driveway for ~$3K...........not bad for 300+HP!

Sorry to hear about your engine....... Does the boat have a hard top? If so, are you interested in selliing it?

Lewmar I have the Lewmar Pro-Fish 700 on my Offshore........works well but the Gypsy froze this year.......it was my 4th year and it was covered under warranty. Think I will probably remove/clean/lube the gypsy on a yearly basis for general maitainance.

I have discovered that a used one is next to impossible to find.

What is the beam? Is this the wide model?

I left my eisenglass on this winter and wonder if I made a mistake. I was on the boat yesterday to start getting it ready and noticed that the eisenglass was dirty......tried cleaning it but it seems ruined.....kinda foggy. Did the snow/cold weather ruin it?

The hose I bought was 1 1/5".

West Marine I bought the hose at West Marine.....I bought the white hose.....it's more flexible than what was in there.

I prefer the I/O myself....... If you at all handy with car engines you will be able to work on the I/O. I rebuilt/replaced my SBC in my Offshore basically by myself in my driveway for <$3K........would be hard to find a 300HP OB for that kind of money. Yes, maitainance is a bit...

Hi Ken....... I installed the port side hose and r-installed the deck drain. Finished product was fine........next week I will do the starboard side. Think I did see the other I/O thread......will look at it again though!!

Removed hoses today......scuppers seemed fine......gave them a few good tugs when removing the hoses and all seems well. The deck drains were also removed when the hoses were removed......don't like the way they are going back in.......seems like they a "cocking" when I tighten the flange...

FYI.... I have an '84 Offshore w/ 350 w/ Vortec heads.....s/b about 300+HP. I have a 1.5:1 Alpha drive turning a 17" prop. I can cruise at 30MPH @ 3600 RPM.......wot is 4600RPM at ~38MPH.
