    Sea Deck

First - LOVE the name of your boat: absolutely well done. You're not a Warhammer 40K fan are you?? Second - the cleaning intel is very appreciated: since this has been my primary concern with boating a fish & having it bleed after being gaffed. Appreciate you sharing the experience!!

    Sea Deck

It's a bit of both, honestly. But to your point: had not considered the mat - that is a good idea!

    Sea Deck

Agreed. Our situation is a little different with it being dry-dock + having a cover. But you are absolutely right in that if it's so much money up front - having to simply replace it in 5-7 years for a similar cost is a tough pill to swallow. While I don't necessarily think having it on the...

    Sea Deck

Yeah - there seems to be a strange market for these fellas. The sales personnel push hard - and it stands in contrast to the fact that if you contact the factory direct (Marine Mat was great when I called for a color swatch - and that alone would make them likely get my business) who always seem...

    Sea Deck

You did all this in ONE afternoon? It looks great!! And for the cost - I'd say you'd more than got your money's worth!!

    Sea Deck

I know - a lot of the time it boils down to who likes it or not. Given the choice - I'd like to have it professionally done as well; but the quotes I got for the areas we asked about was over 4K. As much as I liked the specs - having an extra 4K just laying around is a tall ask. Be sure to share...

    Sea Deck

Afternoon all - Wanted to get the pulse from folks on the idea of Sea Deck/Marine Mat. Have seen several Grady's do it - and in cases it looks great. I honestly wouldn't even mind doing the custom plotting that Marine Mat offers to save on the labor cost. My question is for those of you that...

    Broken plastic through hull fitting

Here - I'm getting to the point of replacing all 10 of mine just out of paranoia. Like you - there are several I am dreading from how tight a spot it will be. Like Hookup1 said though - prep will help: but having a partner seems to me the one indispensable element. If you can - take some...

Where do you store your cushions?

We keep the boat in dry-dock away from the water - but we always stow the cushions below deck. Haven't run into any issues so far - and we keep the boat two miles from the water here in LA.

    Switch Panel

Understood - and thank you as always sir!

    Switch Panel

Let me chime in here - because we are still neck deep in this as well. Is it a good assumption that the switch panel itself is wired to a bus? Reason I'm asking is - in the attempt to isolate/label everything - I'm trying to make it as easy as possible to identify all the wires.

    Fiberglass Repair & Lock Rust

This is literal gold - truly appreciate the intel. I really would like to pull the top off as well - but with the tuna tower in place I'm worried since it has throttle controls in place. I've worked with Bondo before on doors to build up deep scratches - is it a similar process if you know?

    Fiberglass Repair & Lock Rust

This does help; will try to see if there is a YT video (I follow BoatWorksToday so maybe he has some tips). I've never done any type of scale fiberglass repair like this - and we live in an apartment here in LA so the only real space is at the storage lot. In any event - do you have any...

    Fiberglass Repair & Lock Rust

Looked at the GemLux; whew those are not cheap - but they do look good! Thank you as always, sir!

    Fiberglass Repair & Lock Rust

Good afternoon all - Have two fairly mundane questions today - one is whether this lid for the livewell can be salvaged with enough fiberglass repair: The second has to do with the new locks (which claimed to be stainless...) which we bought/replaced the old ones with: The small...

    Mystery Part & Stainless Cleaning

All good background info - thank you. It's honestly amazing how much I learn here every time I post. It feels like I take in more from the replies here than I do with literal hours of watching YT. And all good suggestions, btw - thank you for them all! Since you seem to be familiar - do you...

    Mystery Part & Stainless Cleaning

The wife & I actually discussed the "puck/antenna" - and leaving it there since it was already acting as a guide wire if we ever wanted to put something back on the roof. We installed a Garmin EchoMap 94sv recently - but I didn't know if there would be anything we could add to it to "boost" it's...

    Mystery Part & Stainless Cleaning

I have a tuna tower on top of mine currently - with throttle controls. If it was just the tower - I think we could get away with it. As it stands - I am looking at repairing it without removing it. I myself don't have a garage or covered area to work (but it is SoCal thankfully) - so I feel your...

    Mystery Part & Stainless Cleaning

This looks damn fine; wish I had the money to do it - did you restore the hardtop all by yourself?
