Ok, the Standard Horizon radio is woking fine all week. I turn it on this morning and it reads NO DATA. There is power to the radio, the secondary speaker is turning on and off. But I can't get any channels and the GPS interface is not reading. I am in south florida and we have had a lot of...

    Grady Rub Rail Rejuvinator

I was at Boat Owners Warehouse about two months ago and asked their gurus what they recomment. They said to use Interlux 355, wipe it on rub rail and then use two coats of Mop and Glo. That's right Mop and Glo. I tried it and my rubrail came out spotless. The 355 cleaned the rub rail with...

Calling all 300 Marlin and 282 Sailfish Owners

One more thing, I don't think the boat is underpowered with 225's. Sure 250's would be nice, but how often do you run top end and what is a few seconds difference getting out of the hole?

Calling all 300 Marlin and 282 Sailfish Owners

I don't get 1.7 mpg at 4000 rpms or 26 mph. Depending on weather and load I get somewhere between 26 and 28 mph and 1.2 to 1.4 mpg. There are many many posts here about fuel burn/economy and analysis of the posted test results. Many factors affect the numbers: Is bottom painted or not; bimini...

Megabytes, I hear that (or don't hear that as the case may be). I have tried to fiddle with the covers but no joy. Any help on how to replace would be great.

Did you call them? Sometimes they have stuff that is not on their website, or might have been fabricated for some one else that did not get closed.

    Need help replacing horn

Hey delatarome. Can you detail how you did the replacement. Did you cut the electrical lines from the existing horn at the equipment and then use butt connectors to rejoin t new equipment or did you replace wireing all the way back to the rocker switch? Thanks.

    LED lights for '02 Marlin

I hit send to fast. The Attwoods screw into the fiberglass. The Hela, and it looks like the lights you linked to, attach from the inside out. If so, all you have to do is put the light in the existing hole and seal with your choice of product. There is no way to drill through the step out and...

    LED lights for '02 Marlin

I replaced the step courtesy lights, which were Atwoods, with the Hela courtesy lights. It was an easy replacement job. The blue led looks great.

    Digital TV questions

I have tried to unravel the mystery of tv/digital/converter box/antennae and think I have it, but want the fountain of knowledge to confirm. I have a 2005 Marlin. It contains a 15 Sharp Auqos TV, which first came on the market in late 2002. It clearly preceeds the 2007 Fed disclosure date and...

GW support times slowing down? GW future??

Here is my recent experience with Grady. I was pulling up my wash down seacock lever and it popped off from the seacock. I recalled seeing several threads about earlier levers/pulls not being made up to Grady specs and a change in the system which the lever is attached to the end of the...

    generator or no generator ?

Having a generator adds a whole new dimension to the boating experience. In summer, iat least here in Florida, t is nice being able to cool off. It eliminates the worry about battery charge when using equipment. I like it.

    rain water

There are number of posts and topic discussions about the water accumulation in the center bilge area of the bigger boats. I always turn on both pumps when I am throttleing up (slowly) to allow the bilge pumps to run out the water from the center bilge and any that gets to the aft bilge. From...
