    Newbie/Intro/258 questions

Can't help you on the merits of the 258, but I was always told to use bunk trailers for saltwater and trailers w/rollers for fresh water due to the rollers tendency to freeze up due to salt water corrosion.

    Tampa Bay Grouper 4-20-08

Took two new fishin buddies out trolling for gags in Tampa Bay today. We got into 'em good, nothing huge but good numbers. Here's one of the keepers destined to become sandwiches for several lucky folks! First time out in a while for me, so I was very pleased. Boat ran like a champ!

    1994 grady white explorer

No doubt about it, I am biased but I love my Gulfstream with twin Yami 200 4 strokes on a bracket. I don't have a problem trimming her out properly into a head sea, and the factory tabs are fine for tweaking it even more. I have spent time on my father-in-laws 248 w/single 225 so yes I've...

Schoolie Dolphin off of South Florida w/pics

700 feet and still in sight of land, that's awesome. Nice catch too! Not to burst your bubble, but did you have a PFD on and your lanyard attached? Bad stuff can happen when you're out there alone, especially in the bouncy stuff.

Question: Enjoying 2-3 foot sea days

I went from the Seafarer to the Gulfstream and I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. My fillings are all still in place and I rarely get wet. I have other priorities in the near future, and plans for a larger Grady next year, so my Gulfstream is for sale. See the "Super Clean 2003...

    beware of surveyors....

Why would surveyors be different than any other profession - there are great ones, average ones and poor ones. Heck, half of all doctors graduated in the bottom 50% of their class.

    232 0r 228G?

Ditto what magicalbill said; I too went from a Seafarer to a Gulfstream and they are totally different. I'm typing this with one hand due to surgery, so mine is for sale. You will not find a nicer, cleaner, better maintained Gulfstream than this one...
