NEED to find GROSS tonnage for my 82 Seafarer-226 ?

Gross tonnage is a measure of displacement. For your 226 you're most likely looking at a gross ton, if even that. A kin to calling your S-10 pick-up a tractor trailer.

Does trolling shorten the life of a 2 stroke enigne??

Your in serious over kill mode. I run XD-50 which has a carbon guard in the formualtion. No need for additional carbon treatments. If I decarbed to your schedule I'd be doing it once a week during the season. I do mine once a year for good luck although I most likely don't need to. Right...

Does trolling shorten the life of a 2 stroke enigne??

Good fuel and good oil and you shouldn't have a problem with your Evinrude. I have over 2k hours on my 200 Hp and I troll for hours on end with it.

    Keep the Aux fuel tank????

If I fish a 2-3 day tournament I fill up both tanks and don't have to worry about buying high priced fuel on the water or putting the boat back on the trailer to go buy gas. As you said, it's all about how you use the boat.

    Scupper Hose Replacement

Not sure about yours but on my 226 the deck drains are straight and they screwed an elbow into the drain to make the right angle bend. I replaced both the hose and the scupper last fall. I had no problem removing or reinstalling the hose to the deck drain fitting. I was going to replace...

Trailer hubs and brakes replacement. How often?

Unless you flush the brakes the second you pull out of the water your wasting your time. Driving home bakes the stuff on and your not getting it off by flushing. My hubs, seals and bearing are 4 years old (Sure-lube axles). My brakes are 2 years old and still liook almost new. Trashed the...

True differnce between the seaV2 hull and pre 1992 hulls

The SeaV2 hull was introduced while that model was still the Overnighter. If you had a demo on an Adventure it was a SeaV2 hull. FYI: Ran a pre-SeaV for 6 years then went over to a Seav2 hull 3 years ago. There is a big difference in hull design. Put the two hulls side by side the difference...

    trim tabs

My previous boat was an 88 Overnighter. The tabs did wonders for the ride. A 2' longer SeaV2 hull makes for a much better ride.

    trim tabs

I put the regular 12” x 12” on mine which helped tremendously with the Chessy chop. I'd expect similar results on the Delaware

1997 Johnson hard starting after sitting 3 weeks

I had the same problem with mine for quite a while. I rebuilt the carbs with some improvement. Then I decided to take a look a look at the primer solenoid. I took it apart and cleaned it. Replaced all the hoses running between the solenoid and the cylinders. Better but still not 100% Sat...
