They got damaged. When I detached them from the steering pump they practically crumbled. They were pretty weak. Not sure if they ever leaked, the lines were empty when I got the boat that btw, is a 1988 and 33 years old.

I was thinking of that then I googled other Seafarers the same age as mine and they all just go through the center hole in the transom.

Does anyone here know how long of hoses I need to buy for my 22’ Seafarer. This boat came with the copper lines and they got damaged so I need to replace them with new hoses. Please let me know if you know. Thanks

I ordered one from New Wire yesterday. I can’t wait to see it and install it.

I figured it out. It’s a regular Sea Star helm with a backing plate.

I’m not sure. I’ve been looking at Grady’s and they all look like Sea Stars.

I need to replace the steering helm on my 1988 Seafarer and the new Sea Star helms are round and take a 3” hole. Mine has a square flange and the hole is about 4”. Can someone please tell me the make and model of this steering?

The blue carpet needs replacing. I could put in new carpet in a more neutral color, or I could replace it with 1/4 starboard and a little 5200. Have any of you replaced this carpet and if so, what have you replaced it with? Pictures would be great!!! Thanks
