    282 Sailfish Cabin Moisture Control

In that case you could dump it in a small condensate pump and run a small hose to the sink. I was assuming you were running it while it was in storage on the hard. Lucky you get to use it year round...

    282 Sailfish Cabin Moisture Control

Looks good. Have you thought of placing the dehumidifier to the right of the sink and letting it drain into the sink overboard instead of to the bilge? Just my .02 Edit - sorry, I probably should have read the reply after your post. Yes, if you drain it into the head floor it goes into a small...

    268 Islander: New to forum

Congrats Chris! I had a ‘99 268 with twin 200 Ox66’s for twelve years. Jumped out of the hole and ran close to 40 knots wide open. I loved that boat. Good luck with yours! Kevin

Considering upgrading to a 30 Marlin from a 265 Express

I thought the Marlin had a 19.5 deadrise compared to a 19 on the 265. Either way, I think you’ll find the Marlin to be a better ride and more stable on the hook.

2002 Sailfish 282 back deck canopy, has anyone had one built?

I have one on my 282 Sailfish. It’s nice, but it has it’s limitations. It (obviously) only provides protection mid day, in that as soon as the sun has any angle to it, the cockpit is exposed. A side/rear attachment would be nice to move around to provide protection in those times. My .02.

    Grady Islander performance #'s

As the saying goes, you have to pay to play. Perhaps you would be better off purchasing a Bayliner with a 130 i/o to take the kids fishing and tubing. It's tough to change the laws of physics. If you want a safe, sturdy, reliable boat to take the family out on, spend the extra few bucks and...

    Grady Islander performance #'s

I have an Islander 268 with twin fuel injected saltwater series ox66 200's. At cruise, I range between 1.4-1.6, but the most consistent speed seems to be 30 mph, turning at 4,000 rpms, burning 20 gallons per hour, giving me 1.5 mph. The max speed is 45 mph, burning 45 gallons per hour. I hope...

Fishtales - Anti static mat material seems like a great idea. Any suggestions on where to get it? Thanks again.

    Lobstering

Looking for advice - I just purchased five lobster traps, thought I would try my hand at catching some on the North coast of Mass. I have heard that lobstering beats up your boat pretty bad. Any ideas on how to protect the gunwhale/hull/cockpit? Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Rain X on Windshield?

I have heard good things about applying Rain X or similar product on the windshield. I have been told it helps a lot when it gets snotty offshore. Anybody have any experience/advice? Thanks. Kevin

Expensive? Maybe, but compare it to the price of staying home and working on the honeydo list...
