    2007 Fisherman 222 with F250 Yammy

I have a 2006 that I repowered with a 4.2 F250. It had a f225 that blew up so didn’t have a choice. Night and day difference. I also moved the batteries to the console. Hate to be a homer but this boat rides and handles awesome now. Marina that did the repower was like man this is a heavy 22...

    Florida Sportsman Project Dreamboat

That show is great, I always look out for new episodes. The Bimini turned out sweet, not sure about the automatic trim tabs though.

Just repowered 222 fisherman it’s the 3rd best day

Thanks for info Bob. Opened it up today for a little bit as it was choppy. Trimmed it up more and got to 5600 and about 46mph. I think there’s something to that , motor loosening up after break in. Really love this motor on this boat. It’s just so much better all around to drive compared to the...

Just repowered 222 fisherman it’s the 3rd best day

It’s mounted on #2 hole which is correct. On Grady’s site I get same exact numbers as the performance bulletin for the seafarer with a 250 and it has the same prop, except top rpm. So I think next time I run it wide open I’ll trim it up even more to see if it gets up over 5500. I really like...

Just repowered 222 fisherman it’s the 3rd best day

3rd best day in boat owners life day he repowers. Had to repower my 2006 222 fisherman cause the f225 went belly up after I was running home from a 30 mile offshore solo trip. Luckily I was only 2 miles from home when the oil pump shaft seal broke and I tore up the engine due to no oil. So I...

    222 fishermen jack plate

I have a 2006 222 fisherman that I’m repowering with a f250 4.2l. Blew up my f225. I had a 2002 about 10 years ago with a 200hpdi and with half empty tank the engine would be out of the water. So I’m thinking if I move the batteries to the console it should be enough to keep the engine out of...

2006 222 Fisherman always need to use starboard trim tab

Yeah I tried adjusting the trim tab zinc but didn't help any. No big deal just use a little tab or if my big friends are on the boat make them stand on that side. I could be wrong but I swear the one I had 10 years ago with a 200 hpdi did not need any tab. Possible the weight of the 4 stroke...

2006 222 Fisherman always need to use starboard trim tab

Thanks for the info. I think it's the engine that's too heavy. Like I said I had a 2002 fisherman with a 200 hpdi that I sold ten years ago and I had to never use the tabs. It handled great. This boat handles great, tracks well, when trolling in calm seas you barely have to touch the steering...

2006 222 Fisherman always need to use starboard trim tab

Sits level in the slip with the motor straight up. Turn the motor to the side and it will obviously lean to that side. Possibly the motor is just too dang heavy. I was thinking of moving the batteries under the console. That would move 100 lbs off the transom and to the front. Wonder if anyone...

2006 222 Fisherman always need to use starboard trim tab

My 2006 fisherman , that I bought last summer, always leans to port so I have to use the starboard tab to keep it level when running. It has a f225. I had a 2002 about 10 years ago with a 200 hpdi, never had to use the tabs. Can't figure it out. Everything looks good, tabs are both installed...
