I resolved this issue by removing some insulation from the aft cooler.

If I decide to repair, I would purchase a remanufactured power head and hire a local mechanic to assemble. Powerhead pricing available online (2002 Yamaha f225) and labor price will vary. Unable to load more pics with size limits. Can send to your email. Thanks

Selling the original engine, that requires a rebuild, with the boat and trailer. The engine only has 600 hours but experienced the well-documented corrosion problem. Do you see the attached 2 pictures? For some reason the other pictures are a little larger and too large to upload. Thanks

Just confirmed the live-well was the obstacle. We pushed the hose to the side. Thanks

You're correct my back was very sore after the initial attempt and then I had a friend assist a second time. The hoses are for the livewell and I think the livewell was a bigger obstacle than the front. Will confirm with my friend that was on the left side. thanks,

First of all, greatly appreciate your help. The batteries are under the hatch to the left and I can get the battery to the opening however they are tilted at an angle that prevents from fitting through the opening. Will get out to the boat and take more pictures (it's on a mooring). Thanks!
