    Bimini 306

I have owned 2 306 and spent lots of time on the boats. It is a great fishing machine that also have lots of creature comforts. The boat has a great ride and is stable at rest. If you are doing lots of offshore running, I would recommend the wings just in case the wind blows up. If you need...

    SUZUKI or YAMAHA

Yamahas are reliable with a large dealer network. I have 1500 hours on my F250 and they run great. Suzukis may have a good sounding warranty, but my buddy said after the 3 year std warranty, they will only pay up to the value of the engines. (meaning they will not cover 2 powerheads on the...

    Gulfstream Yamaha Speedometer not working

sand, silt, debris, etc. in the pilot hole in front of the lower unit can cause this also. I take a fish hook and clean it out. If that does not help, then undo the connection (tubing in front of the engine 1/4") and see if that reduces the pressure to get back to 0. Hope this helps.

    A sign of the times?

Scout had the refurbishing idea a few years ago, but have not heard anything else about it recently. Are they still offering it? It makes a lot of sense, but the logistics can get in the way.

    Crockers Marine Wrightsville Beach Experience

I have to say the same thing also about Morehead Marine (owned by Crockers). A phone call is all it takes for all the quality service necessary. I recommend them to anyone needing service in the Morehead area. Great people, staff and management.

Grady says F350 not suitable for pre-2008 boats

I was informed that the F300 also applies as it is the same weight with tons of thrust.

Marlin fuel burn with 225/250 four strokes

I have had the F225, F250, 250 ox66, Z250 on my Biminis. The most fuel efficent engines were the F225 followed by the F250. The worst were the ox66. There is about a 2 mph difference and roughly 8% fuel burn between the F225 and F250, but they were on different boats. The F250 is much faster...

5 Gallon oil tank switchout on a 306, anyone do it?

I made the switch years ago. No problem. In fact, the new tanks will fit in the old tray. The new tanks are a little pricey though.

    My Bimini

I went for the dome for the price. Nice rig. How do you like the HPDI 250s? I had them on my old Bimini. They were nicer than the ox66, but I still like the Four strokes.
