    2000 250 ox66 compression

Catch 22 is correct. Operating temp/warm is an accurate indicator of compression readings. On a boat that size/value, I'm guessing some service records might be available, including psi readings from what is considered a "tune up" on an outboard engine. Good Luck.

    Fuel Tank Replacement 1986 204C

Look at the label on the tank from the manufacturer. He is located in FL and will ship you an exact replacement for your boat. I helped replace both tanks on a 1980 Offshore with OEM stuff. The job went very well. Grady provided some engineering drawings regarding getting the tanks/hoses out and...

    Rocker Switch Replacement

I have purchased exact replacement switches from my local Grady dealer that fit and looked exactly like what came out. My brother in law helped me clean some minor corrosion and he said he could take it apart. Ya'll know the rest of the story, open it up and a spring pops out and well, Grady has...

how do i find my boats value?

Both replies should answer your question. Prior to purchase I checked NADA and made my deal. Then got with my insurance agent and insured it for an agreed amount based on NADA and his guidlines for coverage. I carry an amount of coverage that would replace the boat with one just like her in...

    repower question

I'd say a pair of 115's would be marginal power at best and if the sea state gets snotty the extra power would be worth the cost difference. As a general rule, stay as close to the rated HP as possible for best overall performance. I've had boats in the past that were under the rated HP and it...

Fuel fill line on Offshore 24

I had the pleasure of helping replace fuel lines on a 1980 24 Offshore. After contacting Grady, they advised removing a small section of the bulkhead that the fuel line passes thru. This helps by providing more room to work and then replace the section. It worked. Hope this helps.

    Extended range fuel bladder's

Hey Jack. I used an 18 gallon bladder on another boat and ran offshore until it was empty, rolled it up and put it away. It was a bit nerve wracking having 18 gallons of fuel in a rubber bag sitting in a motorwell and you're talking about 100 gallons? I'd think long and hard about that choice...
