    Yep. There is a sleeve. As well as an additional plastic ring that the base rides on. But there is even some wobble in the actually slider… called Pompanette when they first arrived and didn’t get a tremendous amount of support..

    How to "upgrade" fuel gauge?

    VesselView tracks fuel consumption. When you fill up the tank either enter how much fuel you have added or set the tank level to full. As long as you remember to do that every fill up you’ll have very precise tracking of how much fuel you have left.

    Refit of 2002 282 - It begins

    Following. I’ve got a 2002 as well and looking forward to hearing anything else you do/find. If you don’t already have it I’d recommend adding autopilot. Makes a huge difference in the way the boat handles in certain conditions.

    Depending on what you use the boat for I would go with Yamaha 250’s if you can. Anybody have a comparison in mpg between those and the merc 200? I get 1.8-2.0 with Yamaha 3.3 250’s on an 282 and haven’t heard of anything better than that. I have another boat with a merc 150 proxs and a small...

    Yours may not have been optioned with shorepower. The outlets and breakers are not hidden. The outlets would be in plain sight in the cabin and the shorepower breakers would be on the wall to your right as you enter the cabin.
