To answer my own post. I found the springs. Todd said they are discontinued and I would probable need to replace the slide. Found these : 90X0.776 X 0.095 Lh Gardner Torsion Sp SS MSC-00043869 2 $5.96 $11.92 They are torsion springs

Original Todd seats on 2001 228 Seafarer. Anyone know where to find these springs that lock the seat ?

Nice looking rig. Just re-powered a 228G w/hard top. Went from a 2000 200 HPDI to a 2018 (new) Etec 225. 2019 Etec motors over 150hp will be G2's and was luck to find one in the box at my usual dealer. Have about 10 hours and looking for more.

My 228 Seafarer does not have any wood exposed. Can't answer about stringers.

I think these were installed by the first owner and not original.

Can someone recommend replacement helm seats for a 228 Seafarer ? Not much space as it is between the original seats. Wanting something with a high back. Thanks,
