    Overnighting in a Freedom 225?

Hi Guys When we bought our old Parker 21 walk around cutty we had visions of cruises where we spent the night in the boat. Well we never did that and now we have a Freedom 225 duel console. But the funny thing is the Chesapeake Grady White Owners Club does do several overnight cruises and we...

    Storing side curtains

When I took delivery of Freedom 225 the canvas side, front and back curtains were all rolled up in a nice bag with a big DO NOT FOLD warning tag on it. Now I'm wondering where I can stow it because it's pretty long. Some say to cram it in the space between the hull and the sleeper seat, some try...

    Gulfstream 23 vs Freedom/tournament 22

I splashed my new F225 yesterday in the Chesapeake Bay under some Small Craft Warnings with a 1-2 foot chop. I was worried about the windshield height after following this thread. But I'm 5-10 and didn't have any problems with the wind and my ball cap was never in danger of blowing off. Sitting...

2'nd Splash of the new Freedom 225

I had Friday off so after carrying out the wife's demandments I splashed my new F225 at Sandy Point State Park at the foot of the Bay Bridhe on the Chesapeake Bay. It has been cold and windly lately and we had Small Craft Warnings, but Fraday was the warmest it's been and it wasn't blowing that...

When will you splash your boat?

It's been in the 40's with small craft and gale warnings on the Chesapeake Bay. But I'm off for Good Friday and it's supposed to get in the low 50's. it's still supposed to be windy but it will be good conditions to see if the SeaV2 Hull on my Freedom 225 does what they say it will.

OK the centerline of the bow roller is 35" above the frame and the distance between the centerline of the 6" bunk and the centerline of the hull is 22 inches.

Reality Check.......First Boat Loan Payment Due

Well it was bound to happen and it did. I got my first invoice for the boat loan on my new Freedom 225 and it's a whopper. It's twice as much as the payment I was making on my old Parker, but I figured the new payment wouldn't hurt too much because for 14 years the old payment was automatically...

    22 foot Freedom/Tournament/Seafarer trailer measurements

OK I'll measure that today and get back to you later. I think it's 3.5 feet between the inside edges of the bunks. But I measure it to be certain

    22 foot Freedom/Tournament/Seafarer trailer measurements

I just happen to have a brand new Freedom 225 on a new bunk trailer sitting in the driveway. I'll take some measurements weather permitting because we are supposed to get a wintery mix tomorrow here in Annapolis, Md.

When will you splash your boat?

I took delivery of my new Freedom 225 two weeks ago and already splashed in in the Chesapeake Bay by the Bay Bridge. I'm looking to splash it again soon but either work or the crumby weather keeps getting in the way and spoiling my fun. In 2 months the Chesapeake Grady White Boat Owners Club is...

Closing Opening Under Windshield on a Freedom 225

I found it!!! It was in the lockable storage area in front of the helm under a bunch of life jackets that came with the boat. It's a heavy white vinal coated canvas filler piece with GW embossed on it that snaps in place. Thanks guys!!

Closing Opening Under Windshield on a Freedom 225

I was wondering about that because there looks like there are some snaps that don't go with any of the canvas I have. But my canvas package for the top and sides is still all rolled up in a canvas bag I haven't opened yet. Maybe there is something in there???

Closing the Opening Under the Windshield on a Freedom 225

A lot of the duel console boats I looked at had doors to block the wind from blowing through the opening between the deck and the bottom of the windshield. My F225 came with the optional bow cover and that serves the puropse. But I was wondering if there's another way to close off this area...

First Splash of My New Freedom 225

hey guys: I only got a semi clean bill of health from the doctor because my blood pressure is 97 over something or other, which is too low and the doctor said there may not be enough blood being pumped to my brain. You know that could explain a few things.......but I degress. I got home early...

My New Freedom 225 is in the Driveway

How cool was that.....Congrats. I wasn't able to splash mine yet, but today's Small Craft Warnings on the Chesapeake Bay aside, I'll try today after I get home from the doctor. I getting my head examined for buying such an expensive boat!!!! My wife blames my recent 60 pound weight loss on my...

Anyone use those slick guides on their bunk trailers

I was talking about the various kinds of plastic slides that screw to the bunks. I've seen various products in the various catalogs. Over on the Tidal Fish message board I got a mixed bag of advise. Some say they work great, some say they scratch the gel coat, but most agree not to disconnect...

Anyone use those slick guides on their bunk trailers

Hi guys, My old trailer was a roller trailer and this time I went with a bunk trailer for my new Freedom 225. The ramp I use most of the time is now very steep at all. In fact my old boat would get stuck on the rollers and most times it took some hard pushing to get the boat free of the trailer...

My New Freedom 225 is in the Driveway

We never got wet in the Parker when running into the snot be it wind, chop or both. But I did need to trim the bow down to keep the ride as smooth as possible for a 21' boat. I can see where the GW may go through the chop better, but at the same time I can see some getting wet based on the...
