    Running on a single engine

I tilted one engine out and with the tabs all the way down i did plane on 1 engine (F225). The issue as that the wide open rpm was 4500 rpm-not good. If i had lost an engine, i would run back off plane at 6-8 knots which is less strain on the running motor.

    Merc Rev4's vs SWS 3's

I cant quote exact numbers now but my fuel economy went from 1.5 - 1.6 statute mpg's 3 blade to 1.3 - 1.4 statute mpg's with the rev4's. Overall top rpm stayed with both props around 6k. Where are you located?

    Merc Rev4's vs SWS 3's

I tried both 17m yamaha props & mer rev 4's 17". i found that my mid range speed did decrease a little & fuel economy across the board dropped a bit with the 4 blade mercs. I attributed that to the slighty smaller diameter of the mercs. The bite in the ocean was definately better with the 4...

My f225's were installed in 2004 and never left long island waters. Always flushed after use so its not just a southern climate situation. Scupper Hose Replacement 272

I inquired with grady white on this issue, the port side appears to be reasonable accessable by removing the bait well, the starboard side is the tough one. The suggestion was to cut an access port behind the transom door to access this area, I have not tackled this job yet!!

there is 3 or 4 allen wrench screws, they are easily visable. the one in the back of the cover has a metal slide in threaded piece, be careful not to lose. remove all screws and the cover pops off

    My Motor Broke

i had a similar problem with my f225, it turned out to be a low pressure fuel pump. There is a fuse under the motor cover, i would see if that is blown. If it is i would replace and listen to see when the key is turned on (not started) you will hear the pump run. If the low pressure pump is bad...
