I had a pair of carbed jonnie 175"S on a 25 hydrasport, they burned 22gph at 3800 rpm, i would venture a guess that the 225" are burning 15 gph per engine at 4k
I have the charles 15 amp charger and found out that water was leaking on the unit from either the cup holder or from around the live well. My unit was mounted toward the port side of the batteries. The new one i made a plastic cover to prevent water from dripping on the unit.
I had a 97 225 johnson, I believe that b adjustment controls the timing and that a adjusts the idle arm, c is the wide open stop. I would not start turning screws without proper knowledge, you can screw up the timing.
Took mine apart-messy, looked at it, put it all back together. didnt work at first but magic, it starting working. Will use till it dies and will most likely switch to a different system since groco replacements are costly.
I had to replace the same part and was available thru my local Grady dealer. The part is a plastic thru the hull piece that connects to the washer hose in the cabin. It is a cheap easy fix.
You really have to look at how the boats are propped-the 4 strokes should have max WOT at 6000k, in looking at the earlier sailfish numbers with the f225,S, they were propped with 19" and turned max 5600-5700 perfect conditions. My sailfish propped with 4 blade 17" merc blades burns approx 15GPH...
