Can anyone help me find Grady White decals

Thank you. 27 years old. If only I looked that good!

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

I keep a canvas snap tool at the helm. The snaps get lubed each season. I did not have any gasket material on my original enclosure. There is a fabric flap on the inside that folds down over the top of the windshield frame and snaps down.

    Extra Bolster Fabric?

I'm sure your intention is good to sell off your scrap but as Seasick said it's not as simple as square feet. You need to know enough to pattern match upholstery to cut material. I wouldn't want to buy your scrap material, pay shipping and then find out it wasn't enough, patterned wrong and was...

    Extra Bolster Fabric?

Let's not get stupid about a few dollars. If you have the ability to DIY then do it. Or pay someone else 10X to do it for you.

1987 Grady White 204C rotten stringers and transom.

I hope this is a labor of love boat and it didn't cost you much. If you have the time and ability to DIY it could be a winner. Best of luck!

Can anyone help me find Grady White decals

You may be able to go to the GW dealer and get them. The ones that came off my 1997 Islander were excellent but I decided to go naked for my custom paint job. No logos, no stripe, no boot stripe.

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

The thought behind the full panel front and possibly the side wraparound was to eliminate the frame blindspots. The top is zippered into an awning strip in the top track. Could have just sewn the awning strip to the enclose panel but the zipper does make it easier to put up. The bottom of the...

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

It's difficult to get the best guys to work on small jobs. They would rather build or equip a new boat. My friend with the 56' F&S custom boat constantly has this problem. Electronics upgrades, teak cockpit replacement, refrigeration, black mask refinishing, the list goes on. And you have to...

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

Sorry about the that. I didn't see your question. I wasn't sure I could sew the Makrolon polycarbonate with my Sailrite machine. Sailrite doesn't mention it and doesn't sell it. 3M has a line of very high bond tapes. I used 3M 4941 VHB 3/4" tape on both sides. I also used a 3M primer. The...

    Increasing Rod Storage

I have a smaller boat that I kite fish for sailfish in FL. Lots of lines to put out, fish and clear. I have two Wahoo Industries 5-rod tridents. that I leave in the forward gunnel rod holders. These are where rods are stored and cleared to. I don't fish out of them because the reels are too...

Gulf of Mexico Big Bend in a Marlin 300

Weather in April can still be iffy for a Gulfstream crossing. You need to be careful and pick your days and be prepared to wait it out in both directions. I have not run the bay from the West Coast down to Marathon but it is my understanding there are good routes. I would do this instead of...

Would it be worth it to move up?

Do it while you can. Some day it will change. Boat loans usually carry a much higher interest rate. Depending on your financial situation you may be able to borrow on an asset. Home equity loan, personal credit line or stock or retirement portfolio credit line.

    Hull stripe

I took stripes off my GW and I'm working on another boat now. I have tried the eraser wheel, razor blades and heat gun. The eraser didn't work that well for me. Razor blades work but you will occasionally dig into the gelcoat. Razor blades with heat gun worked the best but you will occasional...

    Sailfish Stb. Through Hulls

The one on the bow may be anchor locker. My 268 Islander doesn't have one. Pour some water in it and see. The three on the Port side are gally sink, forward bilge pump and shower sump pump. Again, pour some water in it and see.

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

Front berth or head. I haven't made storage bags for them yet. When we are in the Key's the boat is a tackle locker. Too small to spend any time inside unless the kids are down. It works for us!

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

I went with a 1-piece front Makrolon/polycarbonate. I also changed the side windows also Makrolon/polycarbonate. Sunbrella material for the frames. Been this way for a few years now. I use the boat mostly during the winter in Florida. Front panel is always up. With the side panels up it can get...

Garmin GPsMap 943xsv &their Captain app real world feedback

Active Captain with a iPad is great tool. They can bring up the helm screen and do anything you can do at the unit. Sunlight readability will be problem. It’s also how you install maps and updates.

My boat is plugged in all year. Important to have a good charger (which you do).

Happens on my MacBook in Safari. The search box doesn't show what you type but it still works. I usually click the gear and use advanced.

    I need a tip…265x enclosure

I doubt it's "shrunk". It's just may be the top is not stretched out enough to bring the zipper together. Do as SkunkBoat said - unsnap everything below, start the zippers and pull down about 3". I would lube the zippers first and lube the kedder in the awning track a little. Make sure it moves...
