    the book value cost difference between the two hulls is approx 500-600 without options figured in. If we were looking 99 compared to 90 it would be a much bigger difference.

    250 4-stroke on 90 grady-too much weight?

    I spoke with Grady white's customer relations department and they were great. they said that the weight difference would only be about 100 pounds and that they wouldn't be worried about it as long as the transom is solid. The scupper issue didn't come up. Thanks to all those that responded...

    yes 92 is SV-2 hull pre 1992 is not. is there that much of a difference in ride? what is the actual difference in handling?

    92 22' seafarer with 05 225 merc optimax or 90 22' seafarer with newer 2007? 250 4-stroke? Which was is better deal although the newer engine boat is $2500 more. What would you expect as far as pricing? Thanks for your help.

    250 4-stroke on 90 grady-too much weight?

    Came across a 1990 grady 22' seafarer with a late 2000's 4-stroke 250 hp for sale. Most of the boats that I have come across generally have been repowered with 225 2-strokes. Is a 250 hp 4-stroke too much power/weight for this boat.
