2003 26 ft express, needs a diesel heater, need recommendations around Vancouver bc

Just had a friend install Webasto heater in his boat and it certainly does the job of keeping the cabin and surrounding area warm. May I suggest you stay away from the Chinese heaters. Many have not been proven, and you only get one chance, as a boat fire can be disastrous . One spends a lot of...

    Aluminum plate corroding? Need help!

Having redone mine a few yers ago myself, if found it to be not a difficult process, once you raise the outboard off the transom. Did that with a chain hoist . I went with stainless angle to replace the aluminium. It is what is underneath the cap that can be concerning. Check for delimitation...

    208 Adventure killed off?

I still think Billy has a point, It does not appear that the discontinued 228 has dropped in price since its demise. I am not sure what the concern is with unavailable parts (unless you need a new hull) the rest are accessible through different manufacturers of the bits and pieces with usually...

You can fit two 7 inch displays in the box,. Have a Furuno and a Lowrance, use one for the fish finder and one for the chart. Have since flush mounted them both. The flush mount is on hinges so I have access to the box for storage.

    New 228 coming?

Was snorkelling with wet suits last week and the water temp was 61F. Have found spots over the years in the summer months where some of the island bays and running across a warm current where we have seen 76-78 F. Usually it is a time when the brakes are applied the laundry comes off and we are...

https://adventuremarine.ca/product-category/motor-brackets/ This is the bracket I have on my 208 works great. 10 years no issues. You will have to cut a hole on the mounting side of the bracket to fit around your trim tab actuator . I have two group 31 AGM on the port side that balances the...

    Adventurer 20, cuddy floor drain

Yes, as seasick said, it is a small space, hardly worth the trouble of cutting and installing a hinged access door. Maybe cut your 6 inch hole first for an access, have a look then plate it or go to a bigger cover if you feel it works for you.

    Adventurer 20, cuddy floor drain

I cut a 6 inch hole (access plate) in the sole of the cabin about 12- 14 inches forward from the cabin door bulkhead. I can access the bilge drain from end to end. Initially there was a lot of fibreglass trimmings etc. cleaned it out by putting my power washer nose in the drain tube and it...

Fill the fuel tank or NOT

Phishead, As a frequent visiter to Desolation Sound and north up to Telegraph Cove and beyond, I would suggest top it up where you can as the further you get away from the larger towns the more fuel is going to cost. You have probably already done this, but before heading out with your trip...

    Seafarer Helm cover

The helm cover on my 208 matches the bimini top side and aft curtain, so the snaps work for both.

    Am I over propped?

Before installing my F200 I was running an F150 on my 208 with a Reliance 3 blade 141/2x 15 p prop. Getting 42 mph at WOT of 5800 rpms. That was with a full tank fishing gear and my wife. No bait tank and no ice. No hardtop.
