i have a 2 stroke yamaha 200 hpdi.the power tnt dosn't always go up,however it always goes down.today i engaged the up butto 5-6 times before it went up.tried with both binnacle control n button on motor.any help appreciated.

thanks for all replys,gently ran a wire up pisser tube n broke a partial clog of dirt free.seems to have a better st ream now.probably not a bad idea to keep wire on board in case of a clog while out

heres a tip we found very helpfull,when removing old setup we tied string to cable n pulled thru under deck.tied string to new cable and pushed n pulled from both ends.not as bad as it looked.we hear on some applications outboard has to be removed to get cable thru outboard tube ?left string in...

i gently used a pick to clean screw heads to get a good bite on screw head n they all turned on a 21 yr old tank.u dont want to rush this job,take ur time with a lubed good fit ull be fine

pull sending unit n take a look in tank u may have "the blob"ethanol eating away at ur old hoses.just put low permiation ethanol resistant hoses n raycor setup on our n friends twenty yr old gradys.should have yrs of trouble free service.

looking to repower 91 22 ft seafarer with outboard on a grady drive bracket.hull came with 225 evenrude with crew of 4,cooler of ice,30 gallon bunker tank boat struggles 2 get on plane.granted motor is original to boat 1991,with 15 x 17 prop.should i only consider 250 h.p.?

are they known for having bad transom ?

considering 200 h.p. hpdi yamaha for purchase.manufactured 11-99.is there anything to pay special attention to when going over motor ?will start out with a compression check.buying from a private seller n he claims it runs fine.and lastly would u consider this motor a good fit on a 91 grady...

considering a 88 seafarer for purchase.the owner has limited boat knowledge.the rear area has a filler hose capped with no gas tank,frt tank he claims is a 90 some gallon tank.what were standard n optional tank choices back then ?boat has a grady drive with 2000 yamaha s.w.series any help...
