I recently purchased a 248 Voyager. Still getting to know the boat. I was hoping for some help. It has the dual fuel tanks and I cannot locate the lever to switch from tank to tank. Anyone able to help with this? Thanks in advance.
Starts and runs fine after sitting for the night. But once I run it for a while it does the same thing. Sounds like my problem is very similar to what you had.
I was able to take my new (1996) Sailfish out on the water for the first time last week. For the most part everything was great but I did have some questions. My raw water washdown would not operate. I may have a bad pump but I was wondering if anyone can tell me exactly where the seacock is...
Thanks for the help. The seller told me that the set-up is 10000+lbs. I'm a risk taker but not that much of a risk. I am way over limit for my 150. I'll have it professionally transported and hope like hell I never have to trailer it anywhere. Thanks again for all the input.
I do trailer small loads frequently and I have pulled a 19 ft boat with ease. I know this is a whole different animal. I think the gross weight of the boat alone is 5500 lbs. I dont know the exact weight of the engines or the trailer. That's why I am hesitant. The haul would be from Tampa...
I should also mention that I'm only going to make this haul once and the 550 miles are all flat. I know I would be pushing the limits but all I want to know is if it is at all possible or will I kill my truck, boat, someone else, or myself
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a towing question. I need to transport my 96 272 Sailfish approx 550 miles. I really want to do this myself and I wanted to see if anyone has done a similar tow. My vehicle is an '07 Ford F150 with a 5.4 V8 and tow package. Max tow weight is...
I am buying my first Grady. It's a 272 Sailfish with AC, TV, Microwave, hot water heater and fridge. I am wondering what the best generator set-up is to power all these accessories while offshore. Do I go to a dealer and have one professionally installed or would it be better to go portable...
During my search for a Grady, I have gotten confused over some things. What is the difference between a Sailfish, Islander, Marlin, or Voyager? When I look at images, I see very few differences. Am I missing something?
Thanks for the insight. I think I needed to hear that twin 150s were OK because while searching for my boat I'm finding that set-up quite often. I was concerned with under power but from what you're both telling me, my concerns are not necessary. Thanks
What is the most popular power choice for 268 Islanders? I see a bunch with twin 150s all the way up to 225s. What is this forum's suggestion/recommendation? I don't need to have the most power but I absolutely don't want to be underpowered. Thanks
