Voyager Vs. Gulfstream real draft numbers

:uhm Use 18" and you'll be as close as you can measure. Pretty sure it's an empty hull and no motor, but Grady can probably confirm ...

    Looking at a 1992 Explorer

:uhm Fuel tanks and hoses are in the 'suspect' range, as are any thru hulls that haven't been changed for stainless. Transom shouldn't be a problem, but water tight integrity of the bracket may be. Any 'original' equipment should be looked at critically. A 225 OX66 should be adequate power...

    Show me your custom baitwell

1986 Tournament 225G w 225 Honda, forward main tank, no reserve tank . As would be expected, she comes up sluggish with full fuel, full crew, and full bait well (about 200#), but planes out nicely, responds well to motor trim and tabs, and still tops out at a usual 45 mph if I want to push it...

    Rubber Trim Glue

Are you speaking of 'trim' or is it sealant coming loose. If it's trim, any waterproof glue should work. If it's sealant, it will look better (and probably function better) if removed and replaced ...

228 Seafarer seacock rods for livewell and washdown seacocks

Re: 228 Seafarer seacock rods for livewell and washdown seac :uhm I can't speak to what it would take to replace the fitting, but I'd sure look for another dealer. And I'd let Grady know why you did, they're pretty sensitive about customer service ...

    208 with 200 HPDI ( Engine Height )

The cavitation plate is level with the hull but it appears buried when on plane. 'Level with the hull' is a rule of thumb for a starting point, only, and you now see why. Raise it up at least two holes and see where it is. The plate should be 'slightly' above the water, but still getting...

Anti cavitation plate - when to move the engine?

I kinda figured that's what you'd find. At speed the motor remains basically perpendicular to the water and it's the hull that changes with change in trim. Move it to the last hole and see what happens with the ACV. Do some hard turns trimmed up at speed to see if it blows out ...

Anti cavitation plate - when to move the engine?

If I move the engine one hole and the ACP is above the water a 1/4" what would happen? It could be neigh on to perfect. At anything but extreme trim angles, submerged usually has a slightly negative affect, at or slightly above is usually positive. It's not an exact science, but I'm betting...

    Freedom 225 fuel economy

Remember, that's with my boat, but it's very consistent across my normal operating spectrum. My MPG average of all operations (from lots of idle to occasional full bore, and everything in between) is right at 2.9. Your results may differ ...
