    265 Express

Mike - I saw that post - I have some big plans for 2010 and if things go well I will be looking to upgrade for the 2011 season - Thinking of going right to the 33 for the cabin that can accomodate a little larger family on over nights- Dont think I will go new - I am planning on 2004 of...

    265 Express

No problems seeing over the bow when underway at all - The trim tabs are big and tucked into formed pockets on the hull (just want you want for fishing - no lines should be cut due to hitting a big steel tab) The "adjusting" one goes thru with learning to run the boat is that this boat...

    265 Express

I like mine just fine - going into five seasons with it now- We did quite a few over nighters with my wife and infant son - Even spent five days at block island - did have to pay some kids for water refills and have the head pumped out- When I was looking to upgrade from single engine boat...

    Sailfish fridge

How long do you guys fish for that you feel the need to turn the fridge off? I leave my fridge on all of the time - every day - all summer long- The boat sits on shore power when at the dock - and I just leave it on when fishing, even shark fishing were you drift all day! It is my experience...

1995 Yamaha Twin 2 Stroke 200 SW series oil filter question

It is not that bad too do - took me about four hours for both motors on 265 express and cost about $30 for the parts. The fluid was gunky looking at the very bottom and I felt it was a service worth doing. Took advantage of having the tanks out and cleaned the entire area. Good luck! Tim

    Water Pump

I am another one that replaces them every other year- Worth mentioning that you should do the entire kit - not just the rubber impellar- Also - the kit does not come with the white plastic compression piece that inserts into the metal ring - these components hold the impellar inplace and are...

    Livewell Leaking?

Are you sure you closed the correct thru hull valve? I think one may be for your raw water wash down and the other for the live well pump. With the correct valve closed I dont think it will fill with water. Tim

    200 HPDI Engine Questions

My 265 has two reseviors- it is really a non issue - when fishing in shore the light flashs on the dash indicating low oil - I run the rest of the trip and then fill the resevoir with 2.5 gallons of oil back at the dock- When heading offshore I add 2.5 to each resevior- Slim Jim did hit a...

Here is the test for sure - When the fridge is not working- pull it out - Turn it off - check for 12Volts at the suppy connection Leave the multimeter connected - verify that it has 12 volts with it off- then with the meter connected turn it on - At this point it dropped to 3 volts for me -...

    Refrigerator ( Reefer ) Problem

My fridge ONLY ran on 12V - when on shore power it still ran on 12 volts - is that how yours is or do you have a "Fridge" breaker on your shore power panel? My 2000 265 Express has a fuse panel under the helm that powers the fridge - when I pulled that fuse it was good, but had sizable...

    Refrigerator ( Reefer ) Problem

I believe the alarm is low voltage- Check the fuse - not just for being blown, but also for not making a good contact- I thought that the fridge on 2000 Grady 265 was bad because I measured twelve volts at the fridge, but when I turned it on it didnt work - Come to find out - I had 12...

So just how "unsinkable" are the Grady White boats

Twenty Feet - that makes sense - I remember reading it when I was purchasing my first 16'er - that was nearly two decades ago - they say memory is the second thing that goes-

    Bilge and Trim indicator

The bilge is important to clean if it gets dirty or mildew - Probally more imporant on a boat with a cabin or an I/O than with a small outboard powered boat. I ran my 16' Bass boat 7 years with out cleaning the bone dry bilge and it was fine- On my 265 express every couple of years I pull the...

    Anyone with a dighy setup?

On my 265 I purchased a mercury roll-up dingy and a 3.5 hp tohatsu motor- It takes about 5 minutes to blow up manualy and 5 minutes roll back up. Make sure you dont get the wooden floor - they are a litte tough to roll back up- This one has slates that roll great - comes with a carrying case...
