    tying up on a beach

It depends a lot on how deep the water is and how steep the drop off is. If you beach the hull the windlass will not pull you off the sand. Some areas where I beach require adjustments every 1/2 hr or so with a gradual drop off..other areas with a deep/steep drop off require no adjustments...As...

    Generator won't stay running

If it starts and then shortly cuts out after starting I would check the fuel pump..Sounds like what mine was doing before the pump went bad. '05 300 Marlin F250's

    any ideas?

For what reason? Do you need to increase rpms so the engine wont die out? Not sure what the benefit is(If any)to increase rpms to 2300 while in ur slip....I seem to recall they idled at a smooth 600 rpms and they do it on 4 cylinders while in neutral. All 6 when its in gear. '05 300 Marlin F250's

    any ideas?

If you are talking about rev-ing the engine while its in neutral using the override button on the throttle, I was told when I bought my '02 200 HPDI's to NOT do that..Even when starting cold. The computer will advance rpms as it needs it. No choke-no advance throttle..Just turn the key.......I...

    water pump replacement

If you decide to go past 2 yrs I would at least drop the lower unit and grease all the bolts and shaft where it seats in the head. Heard some people who had issues where they couldnt drop the LU because the shaft locked in the head. '05 300 Marlin F250's

Water in front bilge 06 marlin

Mine does the same thing.I think all the water that finds its way past the upper deck ends up in the bilge.Even at the rear deck area when your using the saltwater washdown. It then rests in the foward section because its the lowest part of the hull. '05 300 Marlin F250's

    1988 sailfish raw water pump

To remove the bulkhead where the stairs are I dont recall it being a major job. I just removed the trim and that exposed the screws holding the bulkhead in. The whole unit just slid out and the pumps were right there. If your small enough to lay in the port bunk head first and remove the cover I...
