    Water in the bilge

leaks quido.......I had same issue....As gradyfish22 said, reseal the deck, especially in my case floor area were the gas tank is. Second, Mine also leaked around the windlass, you would be surprised at how much water in a good rain the anchor locker will except....between the hole for the rope...

    ethanol gas

ethanol seabum.....the gas around OC does not contain ethanol yet. Delaware everything is ethanol. I still changed filters to 10 micron and changed every 30 hours +/-....I also carry spare filters and a filter wrench to change on the water if something crazy happens

    2004 273 Chase

273 Chase I'll be glad to share the good points as well as the bad....I have an 04 with t/225's so we are talking about the same boat. First of all, grady never installed a plate to mount the radar on or anything other then a few antennas on the t-top. I had to purchase a special made stainless...

    need help selecting gps

my two cents Like I said just my two cents...if your going to spend the money on a gps/FF, don't just get one that does ok. For most boat owners, that piece of equipment is what they try to take the short cuts on. That GPS/FF will most likely be on your boat til you sell it, most small boat...

    Gulfstream vs Advance

CC or cuddy Finatic........this is the age old question that in the end only you can answer...its between the fishability of a CC and the cabin area on the cuddy. Which one suits your needs better. I guess, I've been running out of OC for about 30 years now and before that chincoteague. (I know...

Recommendations for Yamaha Svc on Eastern Shore of MD

Yahama dealership Hotajax....not much on the bay especially in and around crisfield anymore. Even if you were to hull to Pocomoke or Salisbury, not any better. If it must be on the bay side, I do believe the nearest one is Cambridge. If you don't mind a pull to the east, plenty to pick from on...

2008 Tuna Fishing / Fish Tails & Hudson

ballyhoo tunateaser.....I have used the ballyhoo from williamson, ones I put out had the lure and ballyhoo...(gift from grandkid), so on a trip out I put it out on the WWB, after that day, I've kept one in that position. Nice little bubbler in front of the ballyhoo, really drove the...

Follow-Up Queston for the GW Owners Who Tow

bunk or rollers GWcpa, I agree with you but beside from the couple of main docks around the town , you might find 2' or less of water at low tide in the creeks. That doesn't give much water to get the bunks wet on. If he then moves anywhere along the eastern shore of Md or Va, this is the norm...

Follow-Up Queston for the GW Owners Who Tow

bunk or rollers Hotajax, for you putting over in the crisfield area you really don't have much of a choice, only one or two deep water slips I know of in the area, all others are fairly shallow.....Only way to use a bunk type trailer in that shallow is water is to come and go with the tide..if...

    Through Hull -vs- Shoot Through

beagleboy........the answer is NO for most applications, going in reverse and going into a prop wash are the only way that I lose bottom. The transducer is mounted in front of the motors in bracket and non-bracket models...runs clean almost all the time. Put it in a hard reverse then I lose...

2008 Tuna Fishing / Fish Tails & Hudson

SSB Single side bands are great pieces of equipment, pricing is high if u ask me, plus I'm not sure how you would put the required 18' to 23' antenna up on your boat. You really need a stand off/ holder 10' to 12' above the base to hold it in position...don't think you would even be able to...

Question for Owners Who Tow Frequently

trailer I would echo everyone else's comments go with the heavier trailer. I would suggest tandem axle with electric brakes on at least the front wheels. I've put over in Crisfield area several times, I would highly recommend you get the best you can afford aluminum or galvanized at minimum...

    Through Hull -vs- Shoot Through

transducer Finally, someone that uses an transom mounted unit......Megabytes thx...I've always stuck with the 600w model for all my boats. I have a hard time drilling a large hole in the bottom of my boat.....I know its been done for years with NO issues....but call me old fashion if you must...

2008 Tuna Fishing / Fish Tails & Hudson

trolling Nice Jimmy.....everyone is going to have their favorite setup, but to what you have listed Jimmy, I have to have cedar plugs (daisy chain) to be truthful. I've caught more tuna + others on that rig then I have on any other artificial I've ever put out in the spread. I guess I like the...

    Robalo vs. Grady White

pilot house jehines3...watching the back ground actually...I'm more of a center console fisherman, I perfer the space as open as possible...Your Marlin change was interesting, but I've had a cabin boat and got rid of it as it wasn't for me or my style of fishing...I'm in the ocean 95+% of the...

    Robalo vs. Grady White

pilot house bobp...I agree with you, I don't like the parker setup at all...Edgewater's is nice a clean, but they need to do away with that table in the front, I'm spolied not having to "step up" onto the casting platform, grady's walk thru has sold me time and time again on that setup. I also...

    Robalo vs. Grady White

pilot house Those pilot houses are sure catching on in popularity especially in the cooler parts of the globe.....might be a wise decision to offer some type of pilot house for the 336, that would make the boat even more of a sale item in the northern states. As you said Seaswirl has the 29 and...
