    283 Release wet ride

283 chaos...I run the 273, just about the same size as you. I get wet, but its not from the boat, but from the wind driven spray. I actually had a 20 mako with the semi-deep v front and would make runs out for tuna in it. Did I get wet? yes, again it really wasn't the boat it was the spray...

    Cellular Boosters

Anyone have anyone positives or negatives experiences they can fill me on in relation to the cellular boosters out there. Normal cell phones are good til about 7-8 miles off shore and for some added safety I was looking at adding the cellular booster with 8' ant. They give the stats saying the...

    Northstar Electronics

Northstar I have a Northstar 6000i chartplotter/gps/Radar unit. Its a great unit. The 6100i is the newer version of this one, but both are very similar, only issue I have had with mine in 4 years of hard use is I lost the use of the number 1,4,7 on the keypad. Going to replace it this winter...

273 vs. 283 - which one to buy and why?

273 vs 283 It depends on the person and what they want it for...I have the 273 and find its the best fit for me. The 283 seems to be a "bigger" boat, the extra foot width, gives that impression. I've fished on the 283 several times and really find very little difference in ride between the two...

    Shark Fishing Gear??

shark fishing First of all, I'm a fan of keeping all my digits...only time I remove a hook from a Mako, tiger, hammerhead...will be when it tail roped and pulled backwards for several miles. Blue whalers are not that bad, we use a broom handle with a hook puller on the end and can usually pop...
