Here are pictures of my rod holders after plating. This is my first time posting photos/attachments so I hope it works.

    Flush mounting electronics

I agree, it does look great! How thick is the panel and how did you attach the panel to the "box". Currently I have a 582L sounder and the 1850D plotter bracket mounted in the dash box. I can get the Garmin 5212 for less than the list price of the 4212 so I am thinking of going that route if I...

    Flush mounting electronics

My boat doesn't have the flush mount electronics option. I was wondering if anyone had installed the kit after delivery? Is it still available? I am thinking of making my own installation but if there is something available from the dealer at a reasonable price it may be easier. My intentions...

    full fuel tank

If it was properly treated before the winter and you have a water seperator I would burn the fuel. Add some startron or equivalent and have fun. If you are really concerned take a sample in a clear glass container and let it sit for half an hour. If it seperates, looks dark or smells like...

how does a 3 button trim work on a 1979 mercruiser?

I have a lot of expierence with this engine. I have the same setup in my 88 IMP 22' walkaround(currently for sale). I rebuilt the engine myself. It gets a bad rep but is a very efficient engine. Mine has the altenator conversion but still has the points. The biggest problems with them are the...

how does a 3 button trim work on a 1979 mercruiser?

The operation of the switch Ken described is correct. I would check the voltage at the switches first. You should have 12V at one side of the switch(es). When depressing the switch you should have 12V through the switch(es). The pump is running in at least one direction so I would start at the...

T Top finish, can I bring it back?

Already got them back. I will snap a photo this weekend and post. They did a really nice job. You will only be able to see the top as they are already installed on the boat. I highly recommend them however, they had the holders for about a month so you will need to plan accordingly.

T Top finish, can I bring it back?

Hi folks. New to the forum as a member but have visited as a guest quite often. I am wondering if the finish on my T Top can really be brought back. Obviously it will not be new but better than it is now. What product do you recommend? The boat is a 2001 Chase. The previous owner had MS and...

    Gunnel Rod Holders

I had my rod holders re-plated by a place in Philadelphia called Franklin platers. They quoted me 25 bucks a piece. When I go there the manager told me the quote was too low but would honor it anyway. I had six of them done for 150 bucks and they came out excellent. The are known for antique and...
