A few more questions, why the 27's on the batterys from the 24's? And where do you get them? How much are they? Are the 27's bigger or did they fit okay in the small area?

Yep. I have a 2001 and I agree with this poster 100%. The 1st couple of times out with mine it did this as I did not know how you run her. After some good people over here at Great Grady told me how to run her, its been a dream of a ride with this boat. Keep the tabs up (do not touch them)...

The 265 is a great boat and drifts very well. The beam is 9.7 and is a lot of boat for and 26ft ride. Once you learn how to trim the engines the rest is easy. I don't even use the tabs much.

Be very careful using USHIP. a lot of flakes on that site. Its going to cost you about $1.5 per mile. I would say about 4k to 5k max. Anything under 4k would be doing well. Don't give any of them too much $$$ up front.

better check that out fast.

The F225 will give you about the same fuel burn (maybe a little less) then the 200 HPDI's, but check on the weight of those engines on that 2001 Hull. The scuppers might be under water as thats a lot of weight for that hull.

I had one 24ft Grady towed from GA TO CA two years ago with no problems then I sold the boat and it was towed to Seattle Wa with no problems. I would put a new power head on and sell the boat with an engine with a new power head. I bet you would sell it faster and for more money in the long run.

It also talks about this in the manuel. It says that the Live well will fill up while underway if you leave the seacock open. I don't have this problem but I use my Live well all the time.

Can I add HPDIs on my 2001 GW 265 EXPRESS? It has the 200 HPDIs on her now. The boats rated for 500 HP. Not sure how much more the 250ies are. Anyone done this?
