Name placement - transom or side?

The placement is all personal preference. Myself, I'm not a fan of big, gaudy, boat names along the hull sides. Detracts from the beautiful lines of the Grady. Tastefully done on the transom is the better option. When I bought my boat it had the PO's idea of a name on the sides. I already knew...

    SailFish 282

I would go with the 2005 with the 225's at the cheaper price and the reconfigured cockpit with fishbox,,, then repower yourself at a later date. You have some trade equity in the 225's. Also the 2003 HP rating is 500 HP,,, twin 250's. The 2005 HP rating is 600 HP,,, twin 300's,,, which would be...

    New digs for my Seafarer!!

Surprisingly, this house sat on the market for a bit, which worked in my favor. Realtor said everyone loved the RV/boat shed, but house needed updating,,, it was/is stuck in the early 90's, so no one wanted the updating task. I didn't care, the bones are good, and I've got nothing but time to...

    New digs for my Seafarer!!

Just went through a big life change after 36 years,,,,, but enough of that. Bought a new place for my boat and for my next chapter in life. 16' tall, 14' wide and 62' long boat shed that happens to have a 3 bedroom house attached!! Couldn't be happier to finally have my boat at home. Will be...

    Battery Conditioner Recommendations?

I've since separated the batteries, one on each side now. The leads on the NOCO are long enough to reach both batteries from the mounted location.

    Battery Conditioner Recommendations?

I'm running the NOCO Genius 2 bank charger. Have had no issues. Keep it plugged in 24/7, will not overcharge. Mounted inside rear boxes by the battery.

    Switch panel plate

I had mine redone by New Wire Marine last year. 2004 Seafarer. They should still have the CAD drawing on file. Should be same panel as yours.

Yamaha wire bundle won’t go in rigging tube

Disconnect the battery one running in the rigging tube, hook pull rope to it, pull it out. Pull new harness through tube, re-pull battery cable back and hook back up. Gives you an empty rigging tube for harness end to go through. Should be able to pull battery cable right back through. Doesn't...

    Grady 228G bump rail replacement

Take some acetone and a bunch of rags and start wiping it down, keep changing rags because it will be nasty. After it's cleaned up, use some 303 protectant on it, might surprise you how it turns out.

1997 vintage 16-903 panel switch needed - where to find?

Like Hookup1 suggested, might want to consider an updated panel. I found that some of my original breakers were undersized for the newer accessories hooked to them, namely my bilge pump. I had New Wire Marine build me a new panel and very pleased with the final product.
